澳門大學榮譽博士蔡昉將於12月4日（星期一）以“中國經濟增長的人口因素”為題在澳大發表演講，從中國內地供給側和需求側揭示人口負增長時代的挑戰與新機遇，進而從宏觀及微觀層面提出政策建議。歡迎有興趣人士參加。
蔡昉為中國社會科學院國家高端智庫首席專家、學部委員，中國人民銀行貨幣政策委員會委員，中國社會科學院原副院長，中國非洲研究院原院長，第十一、十二、十三屆全國人民代表大會常務委員會委員，第十三屆全國人民代表大會農業與農村委員會副主任委員。他的主要研究領域包括中國經濟改革和發展、人口經濟學、勞動經濟學、經濟增長、收入分配和減貧等，著有《人口負增長時代：中國經濟增長的挑戰與機遇》、《中國經濟發展的世界意義》、《中國經濟增長展望：從人口紅利到改革紅利》等。蔡昉近年亦獲中國出版政府獎、中華人口獎、孫冶方經濟科學獎、張培剛發展經濟學優秀成果獎、中國發展百人獎、中國農村發展研究獎等。

UM honorary doctorate Cai Fang to give talk on China’s economic growth
The University of Macau (UM) will hold a Doctor honoris causa Lecture on 4 December (Monday). UM honorary doctorate Cai Fang will give a talk titled ‘Population Factors in China’s Economic Growth’, examining the challenges and opportunities presented by the era of negative demographic growth in mainland China from the perspectives of the supply and demand sides. He will also present policy suggestions at the macro and micro levels. All are welcome to attend.
Prof Cai is a member of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), a chief expert of the CASS China Top Think Tank, and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank of China. His main research interests include China’s economic reform and development, demographic economics, labour economics, economic growth, income distribution, and poverty reduction.
The lecture will begin at 2:30pm in the Multi-function Hall of the UM Guest House (N1-G014), and will be conducted in Mandarin.
