澳大舉行東南亞中學教育學術會議

澳門大學舉辦東南亞中學教育學術會議,29名來自印尼、泰國、菲律賓及越南共16所中學和教育機構的校長及教育界代表來澳參與,共同探討全球最新教育趨勢,了解報讀澳大流程、入學要求、國際學生獎學金等資訊。

澳大副校長馬許願表示,作為澳門特別行政區一所國際化綜合性公立大學,澳大一直致力提升校園國際化水平。為此,希望通過是次會議連結東南亞國家的中學和教育機構,讓他們加深了解澳大,進一步推廣澳門高等教育,吸引更多優秀學生來澳升學。

代表團成員表示,十分欣賞澳大的校園環境、校園設施,以及住宿式書院的理念與教育模式;並指是次會議提供了讓東南亞國家的中學和教育機構代表進行學術研討與交流的平台,同時也了解到澳大的發展與成就,會把澳大的所見所聞帶回其國家進行推廣,也會鼓勵更多學生報讀澳大。

代表團與澳大各學院和學生事務部代表進行座談交流,並參觀澳大伍宜孫圖書館、智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室、工商管理學院、澳大綜合體育館和其他體育設施,並在鄭裕彤書院與澳大國際學生代表進行交流,深入了解澳大的學習和生活情況。

UM holds educational conference with Southeast Asian high schools


The University of Macau (UM) held the Educational Conference of UM and Southeast Asian High Schools. A total of 29 delegates, including principals of 16 secondary schools and educational institutions and representatives of the education sector from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, attended the conference. During the event, they discussed the latest global trends in education and learned about UM’s admission process and requirements, scholarships for international students, and other information.

According to UM Vice Rector Rui Martins, UM, as an international public comprehensive university in the Macao SAR, is committed to advancing its level of internationalisation. He expressed hope that the conference will enable high schools and educational institutions in Southeast Asia to gain a better understanding of UM, thereby promoting Macao’s higher education and attracting more outstanding students to Macao. The delegates praised UM for its campus environment and facilities, as well as its residential college system. They pointed out that the conference provided an opportunity for them to participate in academic discussions and exchanges and learn about UM’s developments and achievements, adding that they will encourage their students to apply to UM. Discussions were also held between the delegation and representatives of various faculties and the Student Affairs Office of UM. In addition, the delegation visited the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, the Faculty of Business Administration, the UM Sports Complex and other sports facilities. The delegates also met with representatives of UM’s international students at Cheng Yu Tung College to learn about their campus life at the university.
