MLC’s Aesthetic Education—Grand Beauty Workshop aims to cultivate students’ aesthetic appreciation and noble sentiments. It enhances students’ artistic and cultural qualities through practical learning and experiential activities. In the recent practice of art, MLC student leaders Bao Rong and Lai Zhenni have expressed their profound dedication and affection for their college and to the philosophy of “grand beauty” by crafting a breathtaking painting “Poetic Habitat of Great Beauty” that encapsulates the essence of their cherished institution. This captivating masterpiece, showcasing the MLC’s architectural beauty and scenic charm, was completed after over twenty hours of concentration during the winter break of 2023-24. In a symbolic gesture of their enduring love for MLC, the painting is set to be prominently displayed in the college’s “MLC Encyclopedia Library,” where it will serve as a source of inspiration and pride for the MLC community.
