Health Tips (January 2024): Avoid Violating the Law of Alcohol Consumption Control in Gatherings
健康小貼士(2024年1月): 在聚餐時避免觸犯《控酒法》
親愛的同事及同學們:
農曆新年將至,傳統節慶活動少不了與親朋戚友吃團年飯或開年飯,高高興興聚首一堂。第6/2023號法律《預防及控制未成年人飲用酒精飲料制度》(簡稱《控酒法》)已於2023年11月5日生效,旨在減少未滿十八歲人士因飲用酒精飲料而可能影響其健康風險或損害。酒精飲料是指經發酵、蒸餾或有添加物且酒精濃度在1.2%以上的飲料,但中成藥除外。如在聚餐中飲用酒精飲品,請留意以下小貼士,以免觸犯法例。
在所有開放予公眾使用且不論其所有權的地方
1. 未成年人不得飲用酒精飲料;
2. 任何人包括家長禁止向未成年人銷售或提供酒精飲料;
3. 禁止未成年人銷售或提供酒精飲料;
4. 禁止透過不具年齡辨認功能的自助售賣機銷售或提供酒精飲料;
5. 禁止任何人在提供醫療衛生服務的單位、為未成年人而設的地方銷售、提供及飲用酒精飲料。
違法者可被科處最高澳門元20,000罰款。

Dear colleagues and students,
Lunar New Year is coming. People usually have “reunion dinner” to celebrate the festive holidays with friends and relatives. The Law No. 6/2023 – Regime for preventing and controlling the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors (abbreviated as Law of alcohol consumption control) is effective since 5 November 2023, aiming to lower the risk of possible adverse health effects on people under 18 years old due to alcohol consumption. Alcoholic beverages refer to those that have been fermented, distilled or with additives and the alcohol concentration is over 1.2%, except traditional Chinese medicine. If you would like to have alcoholic beverages during gatherings, please pay attention to the following tips to avoid violating the law.
1. The underage are prohibited from drinking alcoholic beverages.
2. All people, including parents, are prohibited from selling or providing alcoholic beverages to the underage;
3. The underage themselves are prohibited from selling or providing alcoholic beverages;
4. It is prohibited to sell or provide alcohol beverages through self-vending machines without age recognition function;
5. All people are prohibited from selling, providing and drinking alcohol beverages in healthcare service institutions and places that are intended for the underage.
Violators are subject to a fine of MOP20,000.
