“UM Outstanding Alumni Athletes – Lai Ka Tong” Sharing Session was held successfully on 21 Feb

     The “UM Outstanding Alumni Athletes – Lai Ka Tong” Sharing Session, organized by Office of Sports Affairs (OSA), was held successfully on 21 Feb at N8-Sports Pavilion. 

     The UM alumni, Mr. Lai Ka Tong was invited to share his experience in basketball and sports career path. He is a local professional basketball player and has been dubbed ‘Macao’s Yao Ming’. Mr. Lai received the Macau Outstanding Athlete Award in 2017. He once led UM men’s Basketball Team to win the runner-up in the China University Basketball Association League (South Division).  

     At the sharing sessions, Mr. Kai not only shared his experience playing basketball in middle school and University of Macau, but also shared how he finally became a full-time basketball athlete. The sharing sessions attracted around 540 student participants.
