Dear Colleagues and Students,

The 43th Macao Green Week is going to start!  The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has launched series of activities to promote environmental protection education to the public, school and institutes.  In response to this meaningful event, the University of Macau has enrolled one of the Green Week Activities: Exploring the Pavilion of Animal Specimens.  All UM students and staff are welcome to join!  

The Pavilion of Animal Specimens in Macao is a facility designed for popularizing science education.  It is also the first exhibition pavilion to showcase the animals and natural ecology in Macao.  The majority of the animal specimens displayed in the pavilion are wild animals once found locally, including pangolin that can no longer been seen in Macao, as well as the Macao nanhaipotamon crab, a species unique to Macao. The exhibits witness the changes of Macao’s natural ecology, making the pavilion a popular science education venue to understand various kinds of animals and their relationship with the ecological environment.

Student participants who attend the whole activity will be granted 1 Smart Point.

This activity will be counted as the “Healthy Lifestyle” area of the “Whole Person Development Award Program”. Student participants who attend the whole activity will be granted 20 “CS”.

Three HEP FUN will be awarded to each HEPA participant.
