聯合國設立每年的3月22日為「世界水日」，目的是為了喚醒世界關注淡水的重要性，並宣導淡水資源的可持續管理。節水從生活點滴做起，我們在日常生活中也可以很容易做到，例如縮短淋浴時間只是舉手之勞，成效卻十分顯著。節約用水，保護水資源，從我做起！請參考以下「洗澡慳水大法」：

The United Nations has designated March 22nd each year as “World Water Day”, with the aim of raising global awareness on the importance of freshwater and advocating sustainable management of freshwater resources.  Water conservation starts from the little things in life, which we can easily incorporate into our daily routines. For instance, simply reducing shower time requires minimal effort but yields significant results.  We can protect water resources, let’s start from ourselves! 澳門大學職員及學生日前參加綠化週「探索動物標本館」活動，參觀了路環標本館內的動物標本。在導賞員精彩有趣的解說下，參加者認識到澳門的特有品種、瀕危品種及外來入侵品種等動物，並了解其對生態之影響，讓我們印象深刻，獲益良多。

Dear Students and Colleagues,

HSEO has organized UM members to participate in the Green Week Activity – Exploring the Pavilion of Animal Specimens.  With the captivating explanations from the tour guide, we were able to learn about Macau’s unique species, endangered species, and invasive alien species, etc.  The tour was informative by understanding the animals’ role and impact on the ecosystem.

Green Week Activity: Exploring the Pavilion of Animal Specimens

第四十三屆澳門綠化週即將展開序幕！市政署推出多項活動向公眾及校園推廣環保教育；澳門大學將以團體名義參加「探索動物標本館」活動，歡迎所有澳大學生及職員參加！

澳門動物標本展示館是以科普教育為原意所打造的設施，亦是澳門首間針對動物及自然生態的展示館。館中所展出之動物標本大多為本地出現過的野生動物，包括本澳已絕跡的穿山甲，以及澳門特有物種—澳門南海溪蟹等等，見證着澳門自然生態的變遷，是認識各類動物及其生態環境的科普教育場所。

The 43th Macao Green Week is going to start!  The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has launched series of activities to promote environmental protection education to the public, school and institutes.  In response to this meaningful event, the University of Macau has enrolled one of the Green Week Activities: Exploring the Pavilion of Animal Specimens.  All UM students and staff are welcome to join!  

The Pavilion of Animal Specimens in Macao is a facility designed for popularizing science education.  It is also the first exhibition pavilion to showcase the animals and natural ecology in Macao.  The majority of the animal specimens displayed in the pavilion are wild animals once found locally, including pangolin that can no longer been seen in Macao, as well as the Macao nanhaipotamon crab, a species unique to Macao. The exhibits witness the changes of Macao’s natural ecology, making the pavilion a popular science education venue to understand various kinds of animals and their relationship with the ecological environment.

Reuse Activity of Red Packet Envelopes – Give them a second life!

Red packet envelopes that can still be reused will be collected.  DSPA will classify them into groups and redistribute to Macau citizens for reuse in the next year.  Please don’t tear, fold or write on the red packet envelopes.

Deadline for collecting red packet envelopes will be 10-29 February 2024.  DSPA will come and collect after we gather all red packets.
