YUAN YIXI (left two) got the 8th place 

UM Student Won 8th Place at the “2024 All China University Chess Championship”

The “2024 All China University Chess Championship” was held recently in Bengbu, Anhui. Around 25 universities from Beijing, Macau China, etc. region participated in the championship. UM Faculty of Education, Choi Kai Yau College year 1 student Yuan Yixi has completed in the women’s ranked group and eventually won the 8th place.

袁 藝 禧 Yuan Yixi, Year 1  (FED/CKYC)          很高兴代表澳门大学参加2024全国大学生国际象棋锦标赛。8岁第一次接触国际象棋时，我便喜欢上了黑白交错间智慧的碰撞，在14岁获得了全国棋协大师称号。进入大学后，在学校、老师以及家人的支持下我有了更多时间来发展我的爱好。在比赛的过程中，每一步棋的落下我都格外珍惜，但没有谁是常胜将军，一盘盘对局也让我意识到胜败乃兵家常事，重要的是那份坚持与热爱以及对胜利的渴望。国际象棋充满了未知与变数，一如我们的人生，在变化中寻找规律，在混乱中保持清醒，用冷静的头脑和敏锐的洞察力去应对生活中每一个挑战。
