澳大學生於粵港澳籃球賽奪佳績
澳門大學籃球隊參加由粵港澳高校聯盟主辦的“粵港澳高校聯盟首屆籃球邀請賽”，分別取得男子亞軍及女子季軍的佳績。
為慶祝粵港澳高校體育聯盟的成立，四所創盟高校的代表均出席了頒獎禮，包括中山大學校長高松、香港中文大學校長段崇智、澳門大學校長宋永華及華南理工大學副校長徐向民。粵港澳高校聯盟期望透過賽事進一步推進三地高校在體育教育、校園體育文化、訓練競賽等領域交流互鑒，以體育促團結、包容及發展。
是次比賽於中山大學舉行，由四所粵港澳高校體育聯盟創盟高校參加，分別是中山大學、華南理工大學、香港中文大學及澳門大學。澳大派出12名男子籃球隊成員及10名女子籃球隊成員出戰。澳大籃球隊憑著極佳的默契和整體配合，發揮澳大運動校隊的團隊精神，分別取得男子亞軍及女子季軍。
澳大籃球隊成員亦於比賽期間參觀了中山大學，包括該校的懷士堂、中山先生像、乙丑進士牌坊等。

UM basketball teams shine at Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao basketball competition
The Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams of the University of Macau (UM) participated in the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Basketball Competition organised by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance. The two teams finished as the first runner-up in the men’s division and the second runner-up in the women’s division respectively.
The competition was held at Sun Yat-sen University and featured basketball teams from the four founding universities of a newly formed alliance, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Sports Alliance: Sun Yat-sen University, the South China University of Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and UM. The sports alliance aims to promote exchanges among universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in the fields of physical education, campus sports culture, as well as sports training and competition. Yonghua Song, rector of UM, also attended the award ceremony along with representatives from the other three participating universities.
