Dear Colleagues,

In view of the recent increase of fraud cases in Macao, the “Scam Prevention Workshop” for UM Academic Staff will be provided by the Judiciary Police, in order to enhance the knowledge on scam prevention, the techniques for handling fraud cases, as well as the strategies for helping others (e.g., family members, friends, colleagues, etc.) to stay alert and prevent being victimized.

Details of the workshop are as follows:

“Scam Prevention Workshop” for UM Academic Staff
Contents:
  • Common types of fraud cases (e.g., Scam Calls, Internet Fraud, etc.)
  • Prevention of fraud
  • Handling of fraud cases 
  • Strategies for helping others to stay alert and prevent being victimized
Date: 5 September 2024 (Thursday)
Time: 15:00 – 16:00
Targets: UM Academic staff
(All new academic staff are highly encouraged to attend this workshop, and administrative staff who are interested in the topic are also welcome to join)

Language: Cantonese (with English simultaneous interpretation)

因應近日本澳的詐騙個案上升，為加強澳大教學人員的防詐騙知識、處理詐騙案件時的技巧，以及如何幫助他人（如：家人、朋友、同事等）提高警覺意識並預防受詐騙，本校邀請司法警察局舉辦「防騙工作坊」(澳大教學人員專場)。
