UM Korfball Fun Day was successfully held
The UM Korfball Fun Day which organized by the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) and co-organized by UMSU Korfball Club was successfully held on 10 Sep at Sports Pavilion in Sports Complex (N8), with over 60 students participating in the activity.
The Korfball Fun Day began with an introduction to korfball, a professional coach from the Netherlands, Mr. Atte van Haastrecht, who shared the background and development of the sport, allowing participants to gain a better understanding of korfball. After that, the UMSU Korfball Club led the participants to take part in group games to experience the sport. During the activity, members of the UMSU Korfball Club also held a demonstration match, which captivated the attending students. In the final part of the activity, some students formed teams to compete in friendly matches, and everyone’s enthusiastic participation created an atmosphere filled with laughter and joy.

Gala Cautela I had a great experience trying korfball for the first time. Despite having no prior experience, I found the rules easy to understand. The team had a fantastic spirit—everyone was friendly and eager to help, especially with translating the demonstration from Chinese to English. It made the learning process much smoother. Thank you all for a wonderful introduction to this new sport!
