The sunsets of late autumn are more vivid and splendid than those of summer.

Walking along the autumn woodland trail at the University of Macau, we feel the vibrant energy of spring reawakened.

As the air grows cooler, we are reminded of that winter 25 years ago, a time of profound significance—the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

“Do you know that Macau is not my true surname? I have been away from you for too long, mom.”

The lyrics echo, stirring even deeper patriotic sentiment.

In the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, we warmly invite all students to a knowledge-sharing session, led by the staff from the Macao Maritime Museum.

This session offers an engaging introduction and vivid cases that will immerse participants in Macao’s maritime history, exploring its customs, technologies, and cultural heritage. More than just a learning opportunity, this event invites Postgraduates to deepen their appreciation of Macao’s historical traditions and foster a sense of patriotism and pride in Macao.

Event Details:

  • Theme Lecture: Guests from the Macao Maritime Museum will present a detailed yet approachable introduction to Macao’s maritime history and culture, supported by rich cases.
  • Q&A Session: Students are encouraged to ask questions and engage in interaction with the guests.
  • Tea Break Networking: A variety of refreshments will be provided, allowing students to exchange ideas and share insights in a relaxing atmosphere.

Let us meet at this special moment to revisit Macao’s history, experience its culture, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
