Conductor Zhou introduces a new choral form “Overlapping Singing” to students at the University of Macau
On March 6th, Conductor Zhou Zhengsong brought a new choral form, “Overlap Singing,” to the students of the University of Macau at the Student Activity Center.
Conductor Zhou Zhengsong is a senior conductor and founder of a choir. He shared his experience and insights with the students and introduced the new choral form he created – “Overlap Singing.” This choral form is particularly suitable for vocal groups and choirs, allowing voices to layer on top of each other, creating a unique musical effect.
The content of the lecture was lively and relaxed, and Conductor Zhou simplified the concept and method of “Overlap Singing.” The students in the audience actively participated in the interaction, asked questions, and joined in singing. Together with the music group from North China Electric Power University, they completed a vibrant and creative singing performance.
The students were very interested in this new choral form, and the atmosphere at the lecture was lively. Everyone exchanged ideas, shared their music experiences and insights. This lecture was not only a learning opportunity, but also a platform for communication and interaction, allowing students to better understand the charm of music and choir, and gain a deeper understanding of Conductor Zhou’s professional knowledge and experience.
The success of this event could not have been achieved without the joint efforts and support of the organizers and participants. We look forward to more opportunities like this to provide students with more opportunities to broaden their horizons and knowledge.
