澳大健康科學學院講座提升高中生科學素養
為提升澳門中學生的科學素養,澳門大學健康科學學院舉辦了多場有關生物醫藥學的科學講座,由學院的教學人員向超過800位澳門中學生分享科學的奧秘與樂趣,從而啓發他們對生物醫藥學的興趣和新的想法。
多場講座內容豐富,形式多樣。其中澳大健康科學學院教授陳國凱為教業中學高一至高三學生主講“愛情荷爾蒙”。他以輕鬆幽默的風格,從科學的角度深入淺出地剖析了愛情背後的生物學機制,帶出多巴胺和催產素這兩個主宰愛情的荷爾蒙的作用,讓學生們在輕鬆愉快的氛圍中學習到科學知識。
郭珩輝教授為粵華中學高一學生演講“毒咬之藥:如何用大自然最致命的毒液來拯救人類生命?”,向學生詳細解說動物毒液的複雜組成和藥用潛力,並分享了自身的科研足跡,讓學生了解到毒液中的毒素也可以用作治療疾病,而且許多種含有毒液成份的藥物已廣泛地使用。
王鵬副教授為濠江中學高二學生講解“大數據時代的生物信息學”,期間與學生探討了精準醫療和生物信息學的發展現狀,以及大數據技術在醫療保健領域中的應用和未來發展趨勢,並分析了相關領域所蘊含的商業機遇。
潘全威副教授為濠江中學高二及粵華中學高一學生演講“精準醫療和大數據—醫療保健革命和商業機遇”,深入介紹了精準醫療的概念、大數據的重要性,以及人工智能在未來公共衛生體系中的廣泛應用。他也探討了人工智能應用於精準醫療的挑戰和商機,以及其在醫學和公共衛生領域的實際應用。
王麗高級講師則為濠江中學高二學生主講“日常生活中潛藏的生物醫學秘密,諾貝爾獎級的發現就在我們身邊”。她以生活化的例子,揭示了許多日常現象背後隱藏的生物醫學原理,以及這些原理怎樣促成了諾貝爾獎級的科學發現,讓學生了解這些造福人類的發明都是經過多年努力的研究,才能成就今天人類健康的發展。
講座既有專業知識的講解,也有生動有趣的案例分析,激發學生們對生物醫藥學的學習熱情。講者們更鼓勵學生勇敢築起科學夢,努力拓寬視野,以創新的思維及多元的思考模式做人做事、探索未來。

UM Faculty of Health Sciences holds talks to enhance scientific literacy among senior secondary school students
To enhance the scientific literacy among secondary school students in Macao, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the University of Macau (UM) organised a series of science talks on biomedical sciences. Faculty members of FHS shared the mysteries and wonders of science with more than 800 secondary school students, sparking their interest and new ideas in biomedical sciences.
The talks covered a wide variety of topics. Professor Chen Guokai gave a talk to Form 4 to Form 6 students of Kao Yip Middle School, where he explained the functions of dopamine and oxytocin in the science of love. Professor Henry Kwok Hang Fai gave a talk to Form 4 students of Yuet Wah College on the complex composition of venom and the use of venom in the treatment of diseases. Associate Professor Wang Peng gave a talk to Form 5 students of Hou Kong Middle School, where he spoke on the current development of precision medicine and bioinformatics, as well as the application and development trend of big data application in healthcare. Associate Professor Terence Poon Chuen Wai gave talks to Form 5 students of Hou Kong Middle School and Form 4 students of Yuet Wah College on the concept of precision medicine, the importance of big data, and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine and public health. Senior Instructor Wang Li gave a talk to Form 5 students of Hou Kong Middle School, where she revealed the biomedical principles behind the everyday phenomena and explained how these principles have led to Nobel Prize-winning discoveries.
