澳大悼前校長周禮杲
澳門大學前校長周禮杲教授於12月20日與世長辭，享年91歲。對周教授的辭世，澳大表示沉痛哀悼和深切懷念，並向其家屬發出唁函慰問。
澳大表示，周教授畢生專注電機、電子及生物醫學工程研究，奉獻高教杏壇。周教授於1991年受邀到澳大任教，1994年被委任為澳大副校長，並於1997年至1999年出任澳大第六任校長，時值澳門回歸過渡的重要階段，回歸後亦擔任澳大議庭成員一職，積極支持澳大發展。
周教授任澳大校長期間，肩負“為澳門回歸培養人才”的歷史使命，進一步加強學術研究，優化校園設施，提升師資質量，為澳大的國際化發展奠定了堅實的基礎。周教授畢生奉獻科研及教育，桃李滿天下，並致力推動澳門高教事業，成就斐然，備受同儕和後輩尊崇。

UM mourns former rector Prof Zhou Ligao
Prof Zhou Ligao, former rector of the University of Macau (UM), has passed away at the age of 91. The university is deeply saddened by the news and has sent a letter of condolence to Prof Zhou’s family.
Prof Zhou dedicated his life to research in electrical, electronic and biomedical engineering, and made significant contributions to higher education. He joined UM in 1991, was appointed vice rector in 1994, and served as the sixth rector from 1997 to 1999, during the crucial period of Macao’s return to the motherland. After the handover, Prof Zhou continued to support UM’s development as a member of the University Assembly.
During his tenure as rector of UM, Prof Zhou embraced the mission of ‘cultivating talent for Macao’s return to the motherland’, further strengthened academic research, enhanced campus facilities, and improved the quality of faculty, thus laying a solid foundation for UM’s international development. His lifelong dedication to research and education has left a lasting legacy, and his remarkable achievements in advancing higher education in Macao have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and successors.
