2nd Semester of AY2024/2025 – UM English Public Speaking Team Recruitment (Deadline: 18 January 2025)
Introduction
Founded in 2008, UM Public Speaking Team (UM PST) offers members opportunities to enhance public speaking skills, improve English proficiency, foster creative thinking, and build confidence. We promote a proactive team spirit through professional training and active practice. Members are encouraged to think critically about local and global issues, enabling them to deliver impactful speeches. All full-time undergraduate students are welcome to join the UMPST Family!
Activities and Competition Achievements
In addition to regular training, we encourage participation in various competitions and workshops. Last semester, our members achieved outstanding results in events like the Macao-wide English Speech Contest and the 21st Century Cup National English-speaking Competition. We also organize public speaking workshops and host ice-breaking games, Open Mic nights, and cultural activities to foster camaraderie.
Training Schedule
- Thursdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Additional training: As per university schedule
