Dear colleagues and students,
Lunar New Year is coming. Have you prepared festive food to share with your friends and families yet? Here are some health tips on choosing festive food in a healthy way. Have a balanced diet and eat wisely!
- Choose nuts, such as melon seeds, pistachios, cashews, etc. without added salt or deep-fried.
- Have a taste of dried fruits without added sugar, for example, dried apricots, dried plums, etc. Do not eat too many of them.
- Have 2 servings of fresh fruits every day.
- Be sure to include vegetables in your meals.
- Choose lean protein food, such as fish meat, chicken or seafood.
- Avoid high-fat food, for example, the skin on the meat; remove visible fat.
- Choose healthy cooking methods, including steaming, boiling, baking, and stir-frying.
