澳大辦國際研討會促科技素養教育發展

為促進科技素養課程的實施與教學,澳門大學教育學院於2025年2月15日至16日舉辦“科技素養國際研討會”,超過200人線上及線下參與。活動獲澳門特別行政區政府教育及青年發展局和澳門大學科技學院科學暨工程科普推廣中心——澳門中小學生科技實踐基地支持。

開幕儀式上,澳大校長宋永華高度評價澳大教育學院為教育所作出的貢獻,勉勵師生在科學探索中實現更多價值,為全球教育注入活力。  他又指,澳大作為一所紮根澳門的年輕高等學府,始終以搭建開放平台、推動學術創新為使命;橫琴粵澳深度合作區校區在未來啟用後,澳大在學科建設、科研合作和國際化方面將取得顯著突破。

澳大教育學院院長范良火期望研討會能激發新思維,推動跨界融合創新,促進科學教育實踐發展。他又回顧了學院的發展歷程,並指近年通過深化教育改革和推動科研合作取得了豐碩的成果。教青局教育資源廳廳長鄧偉強指出,澳門一直致力於提升學生的科技素養,並通過建設教師培訓和創新教育資源平台,助力教育體系升級,進一步推動科技與教育融合,促進社會可持續發展。

是次研討會邀請了5位國際知名學者擔任主講嘉賓,包括:美國普渡大學教授Lynn Bryan、英國牛津大學教授Sibel Erduran、以色列魏茲曼科學研究所教授David Fortus、美國德克薩斯農工大學教授李業平及美國明尼蘇達大學教授Gillian Roehrig聚焦科技素養教育的眾多議題進行分享,如工程設計中的協同問題、科技素養作為科技中的素養等。研討會亦設置多個分會場,讓與會者從多方面進行深入探討。

UM holds international symposium to promote development of STEM education

The Faculty of Education (FED) of the University of Macau (UM) held the International Symposium on STEM Literacy from 15 to 16 February 2025 to promote the implementation and teaching of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. More than 200 participants attended the symposium in person or online. The event was supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) of the Macao SAR Government and the UM Macao Base for Primary & Secondary STEM Education under the Centre for Science and Engineering Promotion of the UM Faculty of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, UM Rector Yonghua Song encouraged students and faculty to invigorate global education through science. He also noted that with the establishment of the campus in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, UM is poised to make significant breakthroughs in disciplinary design, research collaboration, and internationalisation.

Fan Lianghuo, dean of FED, expressed hope that the symposium would spark new ideas, promote interdisciplinary innovation, and enhance the development of STEM education. Tang Wai Keong, head of the Department of Educational Resources of DSEDJ, said that Macao has been dedicated to enhancing students’ STEM literacy and upgrading its education system through teacher training and innovative education platforms to further promote the integration of technology and education and foster sustainable social development.

The symposium featured five internationally renowned scholars as keynote speakers, including Prof Lynn Bryan from Purdue University (US), Prof Sibel Erduran from the University of Oxford (UK), Prof David Fortus from the Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), Prof Li Yeping from Texas A&M University (US), and Prof Gillian Roehrig from the University of Minnesota (US). It also included several parallel sessions to allow participants to engage in in-depth discussions on various topics.
