MCM College: Sugar Painting workshop
滿珍紀念書院: 糖畫工作坊
The University of Macau’s Moon Chun Memorial College Dom Pedro V House successfully held a traditional sugar painting cultural experiential workshop on March 5, 2025. The activity focused on the intangible cultural heritage of sugar painting and attracted 10 students. Through practical operation and cultural exploration, the students deepened their understanding of traditional handicrafts and improved their cultural self-confidence and ability to inherit these skills.
The workshop was divided into three parts: cultural explanation, sugar painting production experience, and artwork display. Resident Assistant Ying Yifan demonstrated traditional techniques using sugar as ink and a spoon as a pen. Students attempted to sketch patterns such as Nezha and Aobing on smooth marble slabs. They actively exchanged information about the history of sugar painting and explored its evolution over different periods. By documenting the production steps and reflecting on their experiences, the students mastered the methods of inheriting intangible cultural skills.
Many students expressed that the activity allowed them to appreciate the profound heritage of Chinese culture and felt inspired to become disseminators of traditional culture. Zhang, a participating student, remarked, “Sugar painting is not only a sweet memory of childhood but also made me realize that every piece of sugar silk carries a thousand years of wisdom. This activity helped me understand that traditional culture requires the innovative expression of young people to be rejuvenated.”

由澳門大學滿珍紀念書院Dom Pedro V House主辦的糖畫傳統文化體驗活動於3月5日圓滿落幕。本次活動以非物質文化遺產糖畫藝術為核心,吸引了10名學生參與,透過實踐操作與文化講解,深化了學生對傳統手工藝的理解,並成功提升了文化自信與傳承能力。
活動分為文化解說、糖畫製作體驗與成果展示三大環節。書院助理應一帆同學現場示範了以糖為墨、以湯匙為筆的傳統技法,學生親手嘗試在光滑的大理石板上勾勒出哪吒、敖丙等圖案。學生們主動交流糖畫歷史,探討其在不同時期的演變,透過記錄製作步驟與反思報告,學生掌握了非遺技藝的傳承方法;多名學生表示,活動讓他們感受到中華文化的深厚底蘊,並願意成為傳統文化的傳播者。
參與學生張同學表示:“糖畫不僅是童年的甜蜜回憶,更讓我意識到每一筆糖絲都承載著千年的智慧。這次活動讓我明白,傳統文化需要年輕人的創新表達才能煥發新生。”
