Library News — Donation Ceremony of the Book Collection of Dr. Nuno Fernando Correia Neves Pereira to University of Macau Library

圖書館消息 -- 澳門大學圖書館舉行努諾·佩雷拉老師藏書受贈儀式

In the afternoon of 7 March 2025, a donation ceremony of the book collection of the late Dr. Nuno Fernando Correia Neves Pereira, who was part-time assistant professor of the Faculty of Law and alumnus of UM, was held in the Western Rare Collection Room of the Library. The event was hosted by Prof. Rui Martins, Vice Rector (Global Affairs) of UM. Descendants of Dr. Pereira, Ms. Tatiana Augusto Neves Pereira and Mr. Nuno Jerónimo Augusto Neves Pereira, officially donated Pereira’s collection of approximately 5,000 books to the University of Macau Library.

Prof. Martins said in his speech that Dr. Pereira made a lot of contributions to the development of local legal education with his outstanding knowledge and professionalism during his teaching career at the Faculty of Law of UM. He also won the love of teachers and students with his approachability and enthusiasm for teaching. The donated book collection not only provides valuable academic resources for teachers and students of UM, but also bears witness to Dr. Pereira’s persistence and dedication to legal education.

Prof. Hong Xu, University Librarian of UM, accepted the donation on behalf of the University Library and presented the certificate of appreciation to Dr. Pereira’s family. Guests attending the ceremony also included Prof. Manuel Marcelino Escovar Trigo (Director of the Centre for Law Studies of the Faculty of Law), Prof. Augusto Teixeira Garcia of the Faculty of Law, Prof. João Veloso (Head of the Department of Portuguese), Ms. Cindy Lam (Director of the Alumni and Development Office), and Prof. Chun Wai Cheng (Chairman of the Library Committee).

2025年3月7日下午澳門大學圖書館在圖書館西文古籍室舉行已故澳門大學法學院兼職助理教授、澳門大學校友努諾 · 佩雷拉老師（Dr. Nuno Fernando Correia Neves Pereira）藏書受贈儀式。活動由澳門大學副校長（全球事務）馬許願教授主持，努諾·佩雷拉老師的家屬塔蒂亞娜女士（Tatiana Augusto Neves Pereira）和努諾 · 熱羅尼莫先生（Nuno Jerónimo Augusto Neves Pereira）將努諾·佩雷拉老師生前珍藏的約5,000冊藏書正式贈予澳門大學圖書館。

馬許願副校長在致辭中表示，努諾·佩雷拉老師在澳大法學院任教期間，以其卓越學識和敬業精神，為本地法學教育發展貢獻良多，更憑藉親和力與教學熱忱贏得師生愛戴。此次捐贈的藏書不僅為澳大師生提供了寶貴的學術資源，也見證了努諾·佩雷拉老師對法學教育的執著與奉獻。

澳門大學圖書館館長徐鴻教授代表大學圖書館接受捐贈並向努諾·佩雷拉老師家屬頒發感謝狀。出席儀式的嘉賓還包括法學院法律研究中心主任尹思哲教授（Prof. Manuel Marcelino Escovar Trigo）、法學院加西亞教授（Prof. Augusto Teixeira Garcia）、葡文系系主任維洛佐教授（Prof. João Veloso）、校友及發展辦公室主任林鈺儀、圖書館委員會主席鄭振偉教授等。
