On April 10, 2025, Mr. Hoi-ting SIU, Deputy Chief Executive of Tin Ka Ping Foundation visited the Faculty of Education (FED) of the University of Macau. Prof. Ping Cheng WANG, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) and Prof. Dongbo ZHANG, International and External Partnership Leader of FED have engaged in in-depth discussions with Mr. Siu. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between the Foundation and the Faculty while exploring future directions in education development.

On behalf of FED, Prof. Wang expressed sincere gratitude for the Foundation’s long-standing support, particularly highlighting the significant impact of the “Tin Ka Ping Scholarship” in encouraging students’ academic and personal growth. Prof. Zhang commended the Foundation’s outstanding contributions to advancing education in mainland China, emphasizing its profound influence in enhancing educational quality and promoting equity.

During the meeting, Prof. Zhang and Prof. Wang introduced the Faculty’s latest initiatives, including a series of professional development programmes and training projects for teachers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These efforts aim to improve teaching competencies and professionalism while fostering regional educational collaboration and exchange opportunities.

Mr. Siu underscored the importance of moral education and proposed closer cooperation between FED and Tin Ka Ping-affiliated schools across mainland China to facilitate resource sharing and exchanges in basic education.

This meeting further deepened the partnership between the Tin Ka Ping Foundation and FED, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative goals and contributing to the sustainable development of regional education.
