UM Symphonic Band Percussion Ensemble Concert “TeamWork” Concludes Successfully

The “TeamWork” percussion concert organized by the UM Symphonic Band concluded amidst enthusiastic applause. Under the guidance of instructor Ms. Hoi Lei Lei, eight talented percussion students showcased a vibrant and creative musical feast for the audience.

During the performance, the students demonstrated solid techniques and cohesive teamwork, interpreting a diverse repertoire through various percussion instruments such as the xylophone, marimba, and snare drum. From the delicate handling of classical pieces to the powerful rhythms of contemporary works, each piece highlighted the months of hard practice and the dedicated instruction from their teacher. Instructor Xu Lili not only emphasized the enhancement of individual skills but also underscored the importance of teamwork, which is the deeper meaning behind the concert’s name “TeamWork.”

The audience was immersed in the lively notes, occasionally marveling at the precision of the ensemble and applauding the explosive energy of solo segments.
