To promote the Constitution and the Basic Law (collectively referred to as “the TWO LAWS”) and enhance students’ understanding, Moon Chun Memorial College, University of Macau held a promotional event titled “TWO LAWS in Daily Life” on 23^rd April, 2025. The event was organized and planned by four students from the “Training Course in the Constitution of China and the Basic Law of Macao SAR ” under the guidance of Resident Fellow, Alice Hong.

MCMC student Oscar Wang introduced Macao’s unique historical background as a Special Administrative Region and the formation and significance of the TWO LAWS in Macao. This was followed by the screening of a promotional video carefully produced by the students. The video, presented from the perspective of the character Xiao Ming (played by Coby Chen), depicted conversations between him, his teacher (played by Oscar Wang), and his classmate (played by Rachel Zhan), vividly illustrating the practical applications of the TWO LAWS in daily life.

During the screening, Ada Wu hosted a live Q&A session, using interactive questions to educate participants on legal knowledge while boosting audience engagement. Finally, resident fellow, Dr. William Chin (Faculty of Law) was invited to provide a concluding analysis. He elaborated on the role of the TWO LAWS in everyday scenarios, using real-life examples to clarify common misconceptions.
