UM Men’s Basketball Team Won the National Championship at the 27th Chinese University Basketball Association League
(Division III – Final National Championship)

The “27th Chinese University Basketball Association League (CUBAL) (Division III – Final National Championship” was held from 5 to 10 June in Fujian Quanzhou, the championship was hosted and organized by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC). The 27th CUBAL (Division III – Final National Championship) included 16 teams, consisting of the top four teams from the Southeast, Southwest, Northwest, and Northeast Region Divisions. The UM Men’s Basketball Team has sent a total of 12 team members to participate in this championship.

UM Men’s Basketball Team achieved a historic victory by winning the national title with an undefeated record at the 27th Chinese University Basketball Association League (Division III) National Finals. The team earned the “National Champion” title, while UM team member, Yang Xuan (FED/LCWC), was awarded the overall MVP of the championship.

UM team carried forward their undefeated match record from the Southwest Region with exceptional teamwork and coordination in the final national championship, the team delivered outstanding performances from the group stage, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals without a single loss. During the finals, UM team defeated Quanzhou College of Technology—who had home-court advantage—by 3-point margin (67:70) to claim the national champion title.
