澳大學生奪全國英語辯論賽季軍
澳門大學英語辯論隊舉行的第27屆“外研社．國才杯”全國大學生英語辯論賽榮獲季軍。比賽匯聚全國近500所高校、逾萬支辯論隊伍，澳大英辯隊歷經多輪激烈角逐，表演出色，充分展現了澳大學子的卓越風采與堅韌意志。
在初賽階段，澳大英辯隊派出兩支隊伍參賽，分別由社會科學學院及張崑崙書院的王思哲、社會科學學院及霍英東珍禧書院的張楷、工商管理學院及鄭裕彤書院的朱帥榕，以及人文學院及蔡繼有書院的王熙睿組成。兩支隊伍在八輪激烈辯論中表現出色，其中王思哲與張楷奪得初賽首名出線並奪得最佳辯手；朱帥榕與王熙睿位列第17名。根據賽制規定，僅一支隊伍可晉級全國決賽，王思哲與張楷代表澳大赴北京參賽。
全國決賽於6月9日在北京舉行，32支頂尖高校辯論隊匯聚一堂，展開智慧與勇氣的巔峰對決。澳大英辯隊憑藉扎實的英語功底、敏銳的思辨能力及出色的團隊協作，一路過關斬將，力克南京師範大學、中國人民大學、南昌大學、四川師範大學、成都理工大學、南京理工大學等強隊，成功晉級四強，並最終奪得季軍。
澳大英語辯論隊在比賽中的優異表現，充分彰顯了澳大學子的國際化素養與跨文化溝通能力。未來，澳大將繼續通過英語辯論等活動，培養學生的思辨能力，拓寬國際視野，為學生提供更多展示才華、提升自我的平台。
今屆“外研社．國才杯”大賽分為校園選拔賽、地區複賽和全國決賽三個階段。2024年11月，校園選拔賽正式啟動，全國近500所高校組織逾萬支辯論隊伍參賽，辯手們以辯會友，智慧交鋒。2025年3至4月，441支隊伍在華東、華西、華南、華北四大賽區的複賽中展開激烈競爭，最終175支隊伍脫穎而出，晉級全國決賽。5月30日至6月9日，全國決賽隊伍經歷八輪線上循環賽、線下淘汰賽及總決賽，最終決出冠亞季軍。

UM students win third place in national English debating competition
The English Debating Team of the University of Macau (UM) won third place in the national finals of the 27th ‘FLTRP · ETIC Cup’ National English Debating Competition, showcasing remarkable talent and skill. The competition attracted over 10,000 teams from nearly 500 higher education institutions across China.
UM entered two teams into the competition: the first team included Wang Sizhe and Zhang Kai from the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the second team included Zhu Shuairong from the Faculty of Business Administration and Wang Xirui from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. In the preliminary stage, both teams delivered exceptional performances across eight rounds of intense debate. Wang Sizhe and Zhang Kai came first and won the Best Debater Awards, while Zhu Shuairong and Wang Xirui came 17th. According to the rules, only one team from each institution could advance to the national finals, and Wang Sizhe and Zhang Kai were chosen to represent UM.
The national finals, held in Beijing on 9 June, brought together 32 of the country’s top university debating teams. With their exceptional English language skills, keen critical thinking skills, and excellent teamwork, the UM team defeated teams from Nanjing Normal University, Renmin University of China, Nanchang University, Sichuan Normal University, and Chengdu University of Technology. Their strong performance earned them a place in the semi-finals, where they ultimately secured a third place.
This achievement highlights UM’s commitment to enhancing students’ global competence and cross-cultural communication skills. The university will continue to provide opportunities for students to hone their critical thinking skills and develop a global outlook.
