UM Korfball Team and UM Student Union Korfball Club Invite Two Netherlands Coaches to Macau for a Week-Long Korfball Training Camp

After winning the 1st runner-up title at the 14th All China University Korfball Championship (第14屆中國大學生荷球錦標賽), Office of Sports Affairs (OSA), together with the UMSU Korfball Club and the Macau Korfball Association, organized the “Korfball Training Camp” at UM from 14 to 19 July 2025 and attracted around 30 Korfball athletes and alumnus to participate.

2 professional korfball coaches from the Netherlands were being invited to UM, namely Atte van Haastrecht (previously head coach of Sweden national korfball team and Indian national korfball team) and Jesper van Haastrecht (the highest Level 4 IKA coach). Both of them, together with Kevin van Haastrecht, are currently the invited head coaches of Macau Korfball Association.

During the training camp, participants engaged in high-level technical training, tactical drills, and practical matches, significantly improving their skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork. The training camp received positive feedback, with participants expressing great appreciation for the expertise of international coaches.
