Beneath the Wet Peninsula|濕件半島

「濕件」(Wetware) 原指有機生命作為「生物硬件」的存在形式,同時隱喻人類腦力、數據與機械系統的融合。在本次展覽中,策展人王頔與黃美婷以「濕件」延展出對澳門的獨特想像:這座被海洋環抱的城市,不僅是全球貿易與文化交流的節點,也是數據光纜與潮汐交織的流動場域。

在這裡,潮間帶生態與數位記憶彼此纏繞,生成一種「濕件生態系統」。水陸與光纜、物種與算法、地質與記憶在同一個網絡中互相協商,揭示人類與非人、多物種與技術之間未被看見的關係。

參展藝術家黃美婷與張雙洋子將透過裝置、影像與跨媒介創作,帶領觀眾進入一個關於濕潤、交錯、未成形的感知空間,在流動與張力之中,重新思考澳門作為「濕件半島」的當代意義。

Beneath the Wet Peninsula|濕件半島

Curated by Daisy Di Wang @daisydiziiii and Wong Mei Teng @cosmowong_, Wetware Peninsula takes “wetware” as a metaphor to imagine Macau as an ecotone where biology, technology, and memory converge. Originally describing organic life as “biological hardware,” wetware here unfolds into a vision of hybrid systems: human cognition intertwined with coded data, marine ecosystems entangled with submarine cables, tidal flows colliding with infrastructural expansion.

Macau’s unique position—at once a subtropical port city and a global data hub—becomes the ground for exploring how seafood logistics, land reclamation, intertidal ecologies, and digital memories overlap. In this fluid mesh, seawater and fiber-optics, fish and algorithms, geology and history negotiate new forms of coexistence, revealing unseen relations across species, matter, and technology.

Featuring new works by Cosmo Wong @cosmowong_ and Zhang Shuangyangzi @yangzi_s.zhang, the exhibition invites audiences into a sensorial space of liquidity and tension, where the “wetware” of Macau becomes both metaphor and lived condition.
