MCMC College 2025 Cheerleading Experiential Class

On September 3, 2025, the University of Macau’s Moon Chun Memorial College (MCMC) hosted a Cheerleading Experiential class to kick off its new recruitment campaign and prepare for next year’s CICA competition. This event was collaboratively organized by St. Paul’s House and the MCMC Cheerleading Team Captain, with invaluable support from members of the UM Cheerleading Team, who provided professional guidance and enthusiasm.
The event began with a dynamic cheerleading performance that set an energetic tone. Participants engaged in warm-up exercises and a “trust challenge” game designed to foster confidence and teamwork. Under the expert direction of the cheerleading team, students practiced essential techniques, including lifts, chants, and formation changes. These engaging activities not only presented challenges but also instilled a strong sense of achievement, creating a memorable first experience for all involved.
Beyond skill development, the session emphasized the core values of sportsmanship, resilience, and collaboration. With encouragement and support from the MCMC Master and Resident Fellow, the event concluded successfully, attracting 16 new members to the MCMC Cheerleading Team and infusing the group with fresh energy and enthusiasm.
