MCM College: Camões House – Rock Climbing Experience Class

On September 3rd, MCM College’s Camões House collaborated with the Rock Climbing Association to organize an engaging rock climbing experience event. The activity attracted numerous students to participate enthusiastically, with over 80% of them trying rock climbing for the first time. With the professional guidance from the association’s staff and mutual encouragement among peers, students not only challenged their personal limits but also discovered the unique appeal of this sport.

The event site was filled with a vibrant atmosphere as students, under proper safety protection, took turns experiencing climbing routes of varying difficulty levels. First-time climbers started with learning basic techniques and gradually mastered essential skills under the patient guidance of the association’s staff. Many students progressed from initial nervousness and hesitation to successfully reaching the summit, their faces beaming with a sense of accomplishment. Throughout the event, the venue regularly erupted with enthusiastic cheers and applause, celebrating one breakthrough after another.

The event organizers stated that this rock climbing experience not only introduced students to an emerging sport but, more importantly, fostered their courage to challenge themselves and their team spirit. Many students remained enthusiastic after the event concluded, gathering around the climbing wall to exchange experiences and actively inquiring about follow-up activities.

This event successfully provided students with a platform to step out of their comfort zones and discover their potential. Participants expressed their anticipation for the college to organize more diverse experiential activities in the future, allowing everyone to explore different sports fields.
