MCM College: “Jiangxi Exchange Trip 2025” Experiential Learning Sharing Session and

“My Chinese Heart” MV Music Teaching Material Launch

In May 2025, Moon Chun Memorial College, University of Macau organized a series of exchange program for students at Aoyuan Middle School in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province. During the visit, the team toured patriotic education landmarks and ancient Chinese colleges, whilst gaining a deep appreciation for the richness and spirit of Chinese culture. To summarize the outcomes of the exchange, the college held a sharing session on 17^th September, 2025. Through students’ personal experiences and heartfelt reflections, the event aimed to promote cultural exchange and patriotic education, while deepening understanding of ancient Chinese college culture.

The event was hosted by sophomore Daisy Deng, who introduced the guests and providing background information on the program. A touching music video titled My Chinese Heart was played. The video documented the journey of exchange between students and teachers from Moon Chun Memorial College and Aoyuan Middle School, showcasing the sincere friendship formed through cultural interaction. Three student groups presented on the themes of “Cultural Engagement,” “Ancient College Education,” and “Patriotic Education”, sharing their observations and learning outcomes from the Jiangxi exchange. The content was rich and insightful. Following this, the host introduced the background of the song My Chinese Heart and invited student Kelvin Tsang to perform it. Its heartfelt lyrics and powerful melody transpire deep love and respect for the motherland. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, MCM College released the music video on its homepage the following day—18^th September, a historically significant date—as a patriotic educational resource to inspire students’ love for Motherland and Macao.

Before the event ended, Prof. Kwok-cheung Cheung, College Master, presented certificates of participation to students: recognizing their enthusiastic involvement and outstanding performance. The sharing session concluded with a group photo, marking a successful end to the event. This sharing session was not only a review of cultural exchange, but also deepened the participants’ understanding of and emotional connection to the culture of their motherland.
