UM Men’s Basketball Team won the 1st Runner-up of Youth Division at
“2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Basketball Invitational Tournament”

“2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Basketball Invitational Tournament”, organized by 廣東省粵港澳青少年交流促進會, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and 廣州市南沙區港澳青年五樂服務中心 and hosted by 廣州市南沙區籃球協會, ended successfully on 16 Nov at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The tournament has invited 12 teams from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao competing two intensive days of competition.

A total of 10 Men’s Basketball members were selected to represent UM in this competition. Throughout the tournament, the team demonstrated strong teamwork and collaboration. UM Men’s Basketball Team won the 1st Runner-up of Youth Division at last, the competition results are shown as below:

15 Nov (Sat) – UM vs The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) 24:15 (UM won)

Final Match
16 Nov (Sun) – Sun Yat-sen University Macau Alumni Association vs UM 39:29 (UM lost) 

A visit to 南沙創享灣港澳青創示範平台 was arranged after all matches for teams from Hong Kong and Macao, which was a specialized entrepreneurship platform. The visit provided them with insights into tailored support policies and services as well as the area’s conducive environment for growth and its promising development outlook.
