澳大生在21世紀杯獲全國一等獎
澳門大學學生在浙江杭州舉行的第30屆“21世紀杯”全國英語演講比賽總決賽暨第七屆“一帶一路”青少年英語演講比賽全球總決賽中表現出色,分別榮獲“21世紀杯”全國一等獎、全國二等獎,以及“一帶一路”國際組二等獎。“21世紀杯”覆蓋全國 30多個省、市、自治區,參賽選手超過60萬名。
澳大教育學院、馬萬祺羅柏心書院學生盧藹琳,社會科學學院、呂志和書院學生張珈歡,以及社會科學學院、張崑崙書院學生 Edward Daniel Alfaro 憑藉出色表現獲獎。三位學生表示,是次比賽是一場非常高水準的對決,能與全國以至全球的優秀演講人才同場競爭,是人生相當難得的經歷。他們希望繼續努力提高英語水準,未來在不同比賽中發揮更好的表現,並為學習和工作打下堅實的基礎。
盧藹琳、張珈歡和Edward Daniel Alfaro均是澳大演講隊的骨幹成員,平日積極參與各種演講活動,協助統籌校內的演講比賽,為推廣澳大的英語教育和文化交流貢獻良多。是次比賽的培訓工作得到澳大演講隊教練、人文學院英語中心導師陳嘉麟的協助。陳嘉麟與三位學生皆認同日常的訓練為他們打下堅實的比賽基礎。
“21世紀杯”比賽流程嚴謹、主題鮮明,是全國最高級別的英語演講競賽。比賽歷經10個月的初賽、複賽和省賽,最終大學組300多名選手晉級全國總決賽。澳大兩位學生以流利的英語、創新的觀點和深刻的思考,贏得了評委、其他高校指導老師與觀眾的高度評價。盧藹琳和張珈歡分別獲得全國一等獎和二等獎。
在“一帶一路”青少年英語演講比賽,來自全球超過20個國家的32位英語演講精英在以 “As global citizens in the digital age, how can we overcome bias as we build a connected world?”作已備演講。Edward Daniel Alfaro憑藉其豐富的演講比賽經驗,及優秀的英語表達能力和演講技巧,獲得在場的評委與觀眾的認同並收穫國際組二等獎。

UM student wins first prize at ‘21st Century Cup’ National English Speaking Competition
At the 30th ‘21st Century Cup’ National English Speaking Competition grand final and the 7th China Daily Belt and Road Youth English Speaking Competition global final held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, students from the University of Macau (UM) delivered outstanding performances, winning a first prize and a second prize in the ‘21st Century Cup’, as well as a second prize in the international category of the ‘Belt and Road’ competition. This year’s ‘21st Century Cup’ attracted more than 600,000 participants from over 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country.
The three award-winning students were Lo Oi Lam, Zhang Jiahuan, and Edward Daniel Alfaro. Lo and Zhang won a first prize and a second prize in the ‘21st Century Cup’ respectively, while Alfaro won a second prize in the international category of the ‘Belt and Road’ competition. Their success was supported by Chan Ka Lon, coach of the UM Public Speaking Team and an instructor in the English Language Centre, who provided them with professional training and guidance throughout the competitions.
