In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the nation, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organized in-house training courses on “Macao in Chinese History” and ““Master Plan of the Development of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin” and Macao-Hengqin Integration” on 19 and 25 November 2025 respectively. Over 160 colleagues attended the training courses.

Prof. XIE Jingzhen, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH), explored the historical development of Macao with a particular focus on its place within Chinese history. The course examined how Macao functioned as a point of interaction between China and the West, and how this shaped its cultural, social, and historical trajectory. Over 80 colleagues attended this training.  

Prof. LEI Chun Kwok, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), elaborated on the guiding principles and development goals of the “Master Plan”, as well as the new framework of “Mutual Discussion, Joint Construction, Joint Administration, and Shared Benefits”. He also introduced Hengqin as an ideal place for Macao residents, in terms of study, entrepreneurship, working and living. Over 80 colleagues attended this training.  

The University hopes that through these training courses, staff members can gain a deeper understanding of Macao’s unique identity and historical significance by situating it within the broader context of China’s past, as well as the current status and prospects of Macao-Hengqin integration.

為增強大學教職員對國家的認識，行政部人力資源處於2025年11月19日及25日分別舉辦了「中國歷史中的澳門」及「《橫琴粵澳深度合作區建設總體方案》與澳琴融合」內部培訓課程。超過160名員工參與這些培訓。

人文學院助理教授謝靜珍探討澳門的歷史發展，特別關注其在中國歷史中的地位。課程深入分析澳門如何作為中國與西方之間的交流樞紐，以及這一角色如何塑造了澳門的文化、社會和歷史軌跡。超過80名員工參與此培訓。

工商管理學院副教授李振國闡述《總體方案》的指導思想與發展目標，以及「共商共建共管共享」的新體制。他亦提及橫琴是澳門人學習、創業、工作、生活的理想地方。超過80名員工參與此培訓。

大學希望透過上述培訓課程，使員工能通過將澳門置於中國歷史的宏觀背景之中，增進對其獨特身份和歷史意義的深入理解，並幫助他們更深入認識澳琴融合之現狀與展望。
