UM Korfball Training Camp & Basic Level Coaching Course Successfully Held

In order to further enhance the competitive level of the UM Korfball Team, the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organized a Intensive Training Camp in Dec 2025. This training camp specially invited two international coaches from the Dutch, Mr. Atte van Haastrecht and Mr. Jesper van Haastrecht, to provide on-site guidance. Both serve as invited head coaches of the Macau Korfball Association, and Mr. Jesper van Haastrecht holds the highest Level 4 coaching certificate from the International Korfball Association (IKA).

The two coaches conducted systematic guidance on core aspects such as korfball skills and tactical coordination. Through different training methods, they helped the team members improve their abilities. Meanwhile, the OSA organized a “Basic-Level Korfball Coaching Course,” and all participants who completed the course were awarded certificates. It is expected that the series of training activity will not only enhance the team’s strength but also cultivate talents for korfball sport in Macau.
