The Centre for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (CTLE) would like to cordially invite you to take part in CTLE Half-day Professional Development Event, with title Fundamentals of Education in AI Era with our plenary speaker, Dr. Julia Chen from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and UM students.
Join us for a dynamic half‑day programme where we revisit the fundamentals of education in a landscape where artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching and learning. The event begins with a thought‑provoking plenary examining both the opportunities and considerations of AI, and how assessment and curriculum design can evolve to address emerging challenges. A student panel will follow, offering authentic perspectives on learning in the AI era and the skills future graduates will need to thrive. The programme concludes with a hands‑on technology session where participants will learn human‑first strategies for engaging learners and explore practical tools—including Yuja’s in‑video quizzes, comments and social annotations, and Copilot—to design more engaging and relevant learning experiences.
