On 11 January 2026, the University of Macau (UM) Anniversary Open Day was successfully held. The day featured a diverse range of activities designed to invite the public to the campus to experience UM’s academic environment and campus firsthand. The Faculty of Education (FED) actively participated in the event, showcasing its unique strengths in teaching innovation, teacher education, and sports science through a series of meticulously designed interactive games, workshops, and seminars.

On the Open Day, FED organized a wide variety of colorful activities and talks. At the faculty building, visitors enthusiastically participated in activities such as “Let’s STEAM”, “Board Games: Family Mathematics”, “Language Explorer Passport”, and the “Fit & Fast Interactive Zone”. They also experienced the fun-filled scientific experiment “Static Magic: The Levitating Confetti!”.

In addition, the Faculty arranged highly interactive sessions, including “Interactive Parent-Child Games: Fostering Empathy and Cooperation through Play” and “Rhythmic Fusion: A Boomwhacker Jam Experience”. These activities allowed parents and children to strengthen their bonds through games and music, combining education with entertainment. During the “Admission Talk” in the afternoon, visitors gained in-depth insights into FED’s curriculum structure and features, creating a lively atmosphere at the venue.

Beyond the activities at the faculty building, FED also hosted health science-related events at the UM Sports Complex (N8). The seminar titled “Ultra-low-volume HIIT: An Extremely Time-Efficient Approach to Exercise” transfers scientific sports knowledge to the public. The concurrent physical fitness measurement and assessment allowed visitors to undergo professional physical fitness tests while touring the faculty’s sports facilities.

The Open Day attracted a large number of students, parents, residents, and tourists. Through active participation, they not only learned about the latest admission information and teaching models but also fully experienced the charm and academic excellence of the University of Macau’s Faculty of Education.
