Competition Highlights

 

UM Badminton Team captured the 2nd Runner-up of Women’s Doubles
at the “27th China University Badminton Championship (General Group) Finals”

 

The “27th China University Badminton Championship (General Group) Finals (hosted by 中國學生體育聯合會及中國羽毛球協會) was held in Qingdao from 17-25 Jan.  The UM Badminton Team achieved an impressive result, capturing the 2nd Runner-up of Women’s Doubles. 

We earned eligibility to participate in the “27th China University Badminton Championship (General Group) Finals due to our two UＭ Badminton Team members who got the 1st Runner-up of Women’s Doubles at the Southern Division (南區) of the Championship.  The “27th China University Badminton Championship (General Group)” was divided into Southern Division (南區) and Northern Division (北區), with the top eight athletes or teams from each division qualifying to compete in the Finals. The competitions events included Men’s Team (男子團體), Women’s Team (女子團體), Men’s Singles (男子單打), Women’s Singles (女子單打), Men’s Doubles (男子雙打), Women’s Doubles (女子雙打) and Mixed Doubles (混合雙打).

In the Women’s Doubles event, we advanced through multiple stages, from the round of 16 to 8, then to 4, and the semifinals. Ultimately, we captured the 2nd Runner-up of Women’s Doubles at the Finals.
