Invitation to CTLE Professional Development Workshop: Learning-Teaching Support for Neurodiversity (Wed., Mar. 11, 12:00PM – 1:30PM in E3-1032)

The Centre for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (CTLE) would like to cordially invite you to take part in the CTLE Professional Development Workshop: Learning-Teaching Support for Neurodiversity with Dr. Eria Li from The Education University of Hong Kong.

Supporting neurodiversity has become increasingly critical in higher education. This workshop reviews the global trend as well as the efficacy of inclusive practice and strategic accommodations, drawing on the speaker’s professional expertise in the area of autism spectrum as occupational therapist and Consultant of Institute of Special Needs and Inclusive Education. The conceptual framework of Positive Psychology, Multiple Intelligences and Positive Behavior Support are outlined. It then extends the discussion to interactive case studies of autism spectrum, considering how holistic and evidence-informed learning- teaching practice can be adopted to connect to student success across diverse higher education systems.
