[Activity Highlight] UM students participated in the “Spirit of Time Shines in Macao” activity series – “Theme Exhibition of Chinese Scientists in the Century”
[活動回顧] 澳大學生參與“時代精神耀濠江”系列活動 ─ “百年中國科學家主題展”
為加深同學對我國科研成就的認識，以及我國在各個領域的科技發展成果，學生事務部組織學生參觀了“時代精神耀濠江”系列活動 ─ “百年中國科學家主題展”。
導賞員帶領同學參觀各個展區，透過不同的展品，學生到認識我國在科研路上的發展，了解不同科學家為我國所作的貢獻，探索國家以及澳門在不同領域的科研成果，去增強同學們對「科技強國」的概念，培養愛國愛澳的奮鬥精神。
本次參觀活動的學生，來自社會科學學院及霍英東書院的袁志明同學表示：「展館內有著各個主題展區，包括航天事業發展，兩彈一星的偉業，月球探索成果，航海作業成就，以及我國各個優秀科學家的貢獻介紹，充分展現我國如何透過不斷科學及科技研究，發展成現代化社會主義強國，為改善人民的生活作出巨大貢獻。」另外他還指出：「透過今次參觀，不但能加深認識我國的科研發展成果，更能培養科研創新的興趣，學習我國科學家的愛國精神，爭取為祖國和澳門的發展作出貢獻。」
展覽由澳門特別行政區政府、中央人民政府駐澳門特別行政區聯絡辦公室、中國科學技術協會、國家航天局及中國航天科技集團主辦，透過一系列的活動，展出國家和澳門在科研的偉大成果，弘揚澳門市民的民族認同感，培養愛國愛澳情懷。
In order to deepen students’ understanding of China’s scientific achievements and the development of technology in various fields, the Student Affairs Office organized a visit to the “Spirit of Time Shines in Macao” activity series – “Theme Exhibition of Chinese Scientists in the Century”.
Students are guided to go through different exhibition areas, learning about the development of our country’s scientific research, understanding the contribution of other scientists to our country, and exploring our country’s and Macao’s scientific research achievements. The students were able to know how science and technology strengthen a country and cultivate the spirit of patriotism and love for the Country and Macao.
Students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College, Mr. Yuen Chi Ming, said, “The exhibition hall features various thematic areas: including the development of the space industry, the achievements of the two bombs and one star, lunar exploration as well as maritime operations, and the contributions of various outstanding scientists in China, which fully demonstrate how China has developed into a modern socialist power through continuous scientific and technological research and has made contributions to the improvement of people’s lives. He also said, “Through this visit, I understood better our country’s scientific research achievements. It cultivated my interest in scientific research and innovation by showing me the patriotic spirit of our scientists. It strived me to contribute to the development of our country and Macao.”
