On 4 March 2026, the Faculty of Education (FED) of the University of Macau held the Chinese New Year Gathering 2026 for FED House Programme at FED Learning Commons. Faculty members and students came together to celebrate the Chinese New Year in a warm and lively atmosphere.

A welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Lianghuo FAN, Dean and Director of Centre for STEM and AI Education of FED. He extended Chinese New Year greetings to all faculty members and students present and thanked them for their support and contributions to the development of the faculty over the past year. Prof. Fan noted that this gathering not only provided a relaxed setting for faculty members and students to connect, but also further strengthened the sense of community within the FED family. He expressed his hope that everyone would continue to support one another and grow together in the coming year.

After then, students Ka Weng LEI, President and Chi Lok WONG, Vice-President of Student Association of FED introduced the organizational structure and affairs of FEDSA. The game session was hosted by two members of FEDSA Chan Seng CHAN and Sam U WONG, who energized the atmosphere and encouraged enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students. The interactive activities created many joyful moments and offered a valuable opportunity for communication and connection. Besides, the performance segment was equally impressive. Students Pui Chio TSANG and Iat Chon LEONG from the Bachelor of Education Programme (Primary Education), collaborated on a song titled “Those Bygone Years”, bringing youthful energy and vibrancy to the event and receiving warm applause from the audience.

The gathering concluded with a refreshment session, during which faculty members and students enjoyed food together and chatted in a relaxed and cheerful setting. The Chinese New Year Gathering 2026 for FED House Programme not only deepened the bonds between faculty members and students, but also highlighted the united, caring, and vibrant spirit of the FED community. Through this event, participants exchanged festive wishes and shared joyful moments at the beginning of the new year, marking a wonderful start to the year ahead.
