On the afternoon of April 1, the University of Macau Moon Chun Memorial College Dom Pedro V House held the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Series: Cloisonné”. During the event, students learned the history, basic knowledge and craftsmanship of cloisonné, including the key points of wire framing, pattern application and polishing, and experienced the charm of this intangible cultural heritage firsthand.

In the two-hour workshop, students practiced actively and communicated with each other. Throughout the creation process, they exchanged insights and encouraged one another, truly experiencing the unique charm of this traditional Chinese craft. For most beginners, this activity not only enabled them to master the basic techniques of cloisonné but also allowed them to appreciate the artistic value of this intangible cultural heritage craft, which perfectly integrates exquisite handiwork with cultural inheritance. Despite the complexity of the procedures, the students persevered diligently, striving to bring their works to the finest possible form.
