“2025/2026 UM Student Awards Ceremony” was held successfully

The “2025/2026 UM Student Awards Ceremony” was successfully held at the UM Student Activity Centre E31-Theatre on 29 April 2026. Honorable guests in attendance included Prof. MOK Kai Meng, Vice Rector (Student Affairs); Mr. Paul PANG, Dean of Students; Dr. LAU Yun Tung, College Master of Chao Kuang Piu College; Prof. WONG Man Chung, College Master of Cheong Kun Lun College; Prof. Garry WONG, Interim College Master of Choi Kai Yau College; Prof. HUI Sai Chuen, College Master of Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College; Prof. FUNG Ka Wai, Associate Master of Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College; Dr. Manuel Antonio NORONHA, Associate College Master of Moon Chun Memorial College; Dr. Elvo SOU, Head of Student Counselling Section; Ms. Stephanie IO, Head of Student Development Section; and Ms. Anita CHAU, Head of Student Resources Section.

The ceremony aimed to recognize and reward students and student organizations for their contributions and outstanding performance during the academic year of 2025/2026. Prof. Mok delivered the welcome remarks and mentioned that our students had shown remarkable resilience, creativity, and kindness. Student organizations and University teams continued to positively impact UM students as well as achieving exceptional accomplishments for the University. The students of the SAO programmes had contributed much to student events as well. He was pleased that the students had made the most of their university experience.

More than hundreds of student organizations and team awards were presented across 3 categories: Loyalty Awards, Student Organization Awards, and Outstanding Awards. In addition to the student awards, the ceremony also presented “Certificates of Appreciation” to the coaches of the University Teams. Over 200 guests, including coaches, professors, and students attended the ceremony to witness the students’ contributions and achievements. The dedication, exceptional results, and teamwork demonstrated by the awardees in the face of challenging circumstances all attest to the bright future of UM.
