中科院院士將於澳大談岩石力學與工程
澳門大學將於5月8日（星期五）舉辦“大學講壇”，由中國科學院院士、中國礦業大學（北京）教授、隧道工程災變防控與智能建養全國重點實驗室主任何滿潮擔任主講嘉賓，以“中國岩石力學與工程的挑戰與進展”為題發表演說，探討中國在喜馬拉雅山等極端複雜地質環境下研究岩石力學與工程所面臨的重大挑戰，以及相關理論、裝備與工程技術的最新突破與發展。歡迎有興趣人士參加。
何滿潮長期從事礦山岩體大變形災害控制理論和技術研究，提出了“緩變型”和“突變型”大變形災害理論體系，創建了深部岩體力學實驗室。他首創無煤柱自成巷110/N00工法技術體系，引領礦業科學技術第三次革命；發明具有負泊松比效應的恒阻大變形錨杆（索）系列產品，成功應用於重大工程，取得顯著經濟社會效益。何滿潮亦榮獲多項獎項和榮譽，包括國家技術發明二等獎、國家科學技術進步二等獎、中國專利金獎、國際岩石力學與岩石工程學會（ISRM）技術發明獎等。

CAS academician to give talk on rock mechanics and engineering at UM
The University of Macau (UM) will hold a talk titled ‘Rock Mechanics and Engineering in China: Development and Challenges’ on 8 May (Friday), as part of its University Lecture Series. He Manchao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), professor at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), and director of the State Key Laboratory for Tunnel Engineering, will be the speaker. During the talk, Prof He will discuss the major challenges faced by China in rock mechanics and engineering research under extreme and complex geological conditions, such as those found in the Himalayas. He will also present the latest breakthroughs and developments in relevant theoretical frameworks, equipment, and engineering technologies.
The talk will begin at 11:00am in the Multi-function Hall of the UM Guest House (N1-G014), and will be conducted in Mandarin. All are welcome to attend.
