The 2025-2026 UM Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony was being held on 6 May 2026, with the aim to recognize the outstanding performance of student-athletes and sports teams throughout the academic year.   

This year, the total amount of sports scholarship received from Donors has increased to MOP510,000, with 2 new donors from StarMac Entertainment Production Ltd. (澳門星娛樂製作有限公司) and OU SI O.M.W. WATCH AND JEWELLERY LIMITED (奧時O.M.W.鐘錶珠寶有限公司) donating MOP40,000 and MOP20,000 respectively.

During the welcome remarks, Rector Yonghua Song briefed the current development of sports affairs and expressed his sincere thanks to all 12 donors for their continuous support to our sports development. He also appreciated all sports team coaches and athletes for their efforts and contributions to the glory of UM. At the same time, UM took this opportunity to honor the 704 student volunteers who participated in the National Games (全運會) last year. 

Until April, UM Sports Teams won 87 golds, 72 silvers and 61 bronzes in this 2025/2026 academic year.

Besides donor’s scholarship, UM also awarded its scholarships to 13 outstanding student-athletes with full waiver or half waiver tuition fee and 19 most valuable athletes with MOP1000 scholarship.  In addition, the certificates of appreciation were presented to 34 coaches, 57 U team captains/vice captains/assistants and 63 loyal athletes.  At the end of the ceremony, certificates were also presented to 31 trainees from the Train the Trainer Programme (T.T.T.), 7 outstanding interns from Sports Affairs Internship Programme (SAIP) and 8 outstanding volunteers from the Sports Volunteer Programme (SVP).
