UM String Orchestra – Recruitment for New Members (Application Deadline: 23 Jan 2023)
澳門大學弦樂團現正招募新團員(截止日期: 2023年1月23日)
各位同學：
澳門大學弦樂團（UMSO）現正招募新成員。我們的目的是提升團員的表演技巧和演奏水平。我們的對象是熱愛弦樂的同學，如果聽起來像你，UMSO是一個很好的選擇。
我們的目標是所有的澳大學生，可以演奏小提琴，中提琴，大提琴或低音提琴。 交換學生也歡迎加入這個大家庭。
申請方法
1. 在2023年1月23日內提交申請表及演奏片段。
2. 受疫情影響，甄選方式將會以提交演奏影片形式進行，同學需要自行錄影一段演奏以下內容的影片。(P.S. 影片需要拍到學生的上半身及左右手的動作 ！)
3. 申請人會一星期內通過電子郵件和信息得知甄選結果。
甄選內容：
小提琴：
a. 指定曲目 (速度最低要求bpm=90)：
b. 一條自選兩個八度或三個八度音階
c. 一首自選曲目 (可選擇拉或不拉)
中提琴、大提琴及低音大提琴：
a. 一首自選曲目
b. 一條自選兩個八度或三個八度音階

Dear students,
The University of Macau String Orchestra (UMSO) is now recruiting new members. The purpose of University of Macau String Orchestra (UMSO) is to improve members’ technique and performing level. We pick the stringed instrument enthusiasts in the university. If that sounds like you, and you like to think for yourself, UMSO could be the great choice for you.
Our target is all UM students, who can play the violin, the viola, the cello or the double bass. Exchange students are also welcome to join our big family.
Applying to UMSO
1. Submit your application and video by 23 January 2023
2. As affected by COVID-19, our audition will not be face-to-face. A video should be taken (P.S. Student’s upper half of the body and the movement of both hands should be shown in the video! ) by the student.
3. Applicants will receive the audition result via e-mail or message.
Video content:
Violin:
a. Required pieces (minimum tempo requirement bpm=90)
b. A two-octave or three-octave scale
c. A self-selected piece (optional)
Viola, Cello and Bass:
a. A self-selected piece
b. A two-octave or three-octave scale
