澳大與里斯本大學校長拜訪澳門特區行政長官
在澳門大學校長宋永華、副校長馬許願陪同下,葡萄牙里斯本大學校長路易斯・費雷拉(Luís Ferreira)一行拜訪澳門特別行政區行政長官賀一誠,期間雙方就全面深化科研、教學、人才培養等多方面的合作,以及促進兩地高等教育發展等議題交換意見。此外,費雷拉校長訪問了澳大,進一步落實多項合作計劃。
澳門特區行政長官感謝費雷拉校長在他今年4月到訪里斯本大學期間的熱情接待,並表示澳門在葡語教育、學術科研和旅遊人才培養方面具有良好基礎和可持續發展的優勢。近年,澳門與葡萄牙兩地的高等院校落實多項合作,進一步鞏固兩地高等教育及科技領域的夥伴關係。其中,澳門大學與里斯本大學簽署了醫學領域合作協議,希望雙方攜手加快推進有關項目。同時,澳門會繼續發揮中葡平台的作用,促進內地、澳門與葡萄牙高等院校之間的學術科研協作,聯動內地與葡萄牙高校之間的高質量交流。
費雷拉校長表示,這次訪問澳門,了解到澳門高等院校近年在各個領域的迅速發展,包括設立了多個國家重點實驗室,並取得多項突破性的科研成果。里斯本大學是葡萄牙歷史悠久、最大的公立高等教育機構,該校在醫學領域的研究位居世界前列,擁有先進的實驗室和多項世界級的科研成果,期望里斯本大學與澳門大學今後在醫學領域進一步務實合作,在科學研究、學術發展及人才培育等方面為澳門作出貢獻,增進居民福祉。
在澳門期間,費雷拉校長亦到訪澳門大學,參觀了大學展館、圖書館、住宿式書院、法學院、健康科學學院、中華醫藥研究院、模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室和智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室。費雷拉校長高度讚揚澳門大學近年的科教發展,期望澳門大學與里斯本大學繼續加強合作交流,共同為中國及葡萄牙培養一流人才,展開中葡高教合作新篇章。
澳門大學校長宋永華表示,兩校於今年4月簽署《戰略合作框架協議》後,已在多個重點學術領域落實一系列合作計劃,如建立聯合科研中心、舉行年度聯席會議、開展博士生聯合培養計劃等。宋永華期望藉是次回訪,進一步推動雙方各項合作,並探討更多合作機會。
費雷拉校長訪問澳大期間,澳大法學院院長唐曉晴、中華醫藥研究院院長陳新、健康科學學院副院長徐仁和、滿珍紀念書院代院長張國祥、模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室主任麥沛然、圖書館館長吳建中、區域海洋中心代主任徐杰、智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室教授周萬歡及鞏志國、全球事務代總監莫穎盈等亦參與接待。

Rectors of UM and ULisboa call on Chief Executive of Macao SAR
Accompanied by Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Rui Martins of the University of Macau (UM), Rector of the University of Lisbon (ULisboa) Luís Ferreira called on Chief Executive of the Macao SAR Ho Iat Seng. During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on deepening cooperation in areas such as scientific research, education, and talent cultivation, as well as promoting the development of higher education in Macao and Portugal. Ferreira also visited UM to further implement various collaborations.
The chief executive of the Macao SAR thanked Ferreira for his warm reception during his visit to ULisboa in April this year. He remarked that Macao has a solid foundation and advantages for the sustainable development of Portuguese language education, academic and research, and talent cultivation for tourism. In recent years, higher education institutions in Macao and Portugal have implemented a number of collaborations, which take their partnership in the areas of higher education and technology to the next level. It is hoped that UM and ULisboa will jointly accelerate the projects under the cooperation agreement in the field of medical sciences signed by the two universities. At the same time, Macao will continue to play its role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries to promote academic and research collaborations between higher education institutions in mainland China, Macao, and Portugal, and facilitate quality exchanges between higher education institutions in mainland China and Portugal.
Ferreira said that this visit to Macao enabled him to learn about the rapid development of Macao’s higher education institutions in various fields in recent years, including the establishment of several state key laboratories and the achievement of a number of groundbreaking research results. ULisboa is the oldest and largest public higher education institution in Portugal. It has one of the best research capabilities in the world in the field of medical sciences, with state-of-the-art laboratories and world-class research results. He also expressed hope that ULisboa and UM will foster further collaborations in medical sciences, with the aim of contributing to Macao in scientific research, academic development, and talent cultivation, and improving the well-being of people in Macao.
During his time in Macao, Ferreira also paid a visit to UM, where he visited the University Gallery, the library, a residential college, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City. He spoke highly of the university’s development of research and education in recent years. He also expressed hope that UM and ULisboa will continue to strengthen their cooperation and exchanges, so as to cultivate top talent for China and Portugal and open a new chapter in higher education cooperation between the two countries.
According to UM Rector Yonghua Song, after the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement in April this year, the two universities have implemented a series of collaborations in various academic fields. These include the establishment of a joint research centre, the organisation of annual joint meetings, and the development of joint PhD programmes. He hopes that through this visit, the two universities will further promote their collaborations and explore more opportunities for cooperation.
UM representatives who received Ferreira during his visit to the university included Tong Io Cheng, dean of the Faculty of Law; Chen Xin, director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences; Xu Renhe, associate dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Cheung Kwok Cheung, interim college master of Moon Chun Memorial College; Mak Pui In, director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI; Wu Jianzhong, university librarian; Xu Jie, interim director of the Centre for Regional Oceans; Zhou Wanhuan and Gong Zhiguo, professors in the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City; and Cherry Mok, acting director of the Global Affairs Office.
