澳大開放日澳琴同步舉行 展現特色與成果

為讓大眾了解澳門大學的最新發展,體驗多元的校園文化,澳大今(12)日舉辦開放日,精彩活動超過200項,展現澳大的辦學理念、教學環境、課程特色及近年成果。有家長認同澳大提供完善的人才培養體系,為學生營造優質的教學及科研環境,支持子女在澳門升學。

一年一度的澳大開放日以線下結合線上的形式舉行,澳大校園及珠海澳大科技研究院同步開放,超過25萬人次透過網上平台觀看直播。開幕儀式上午11時於澳大伍宜孫圖書館廣場舉行,由澳大校長宋永華,教青局學生廳長陳旭偉,中華教育會會長陳虹,天主教學校聯會理事長劉麗妹,澳門大學校友會會員大會主席區秉光、學生會會員大會主席何培儀、研究生會理事長陳裕林等主禮。出席嘉賓還有來自澳門特區政府官員、行政會委員、立法議員、大學議庭及校董會成員、教育界、獎學金捐贈人、合作伙伴、大學管理層、師生、校友等近百人。

澳大校長宋永華在啟動儀式上表示,自2014年遷校以來,澳大在各方面都取得了矚目的發展成果,去年更迎來歷史性的新機遇。作為首間延伸到橫琴粵澳深度合作區校區開展教學與實驗的澳門高校,澳大在去年12月舉行橫琴粵澳深度合作區校區交地暨奠基儀式,全面啟動深合區校區建設。澳大將堅守“立足澳門、共建灣區、融入國家、走向世界”的發展定位,致力培養具家國情懷、國際視野、全球競爭力和有社會責任感的公民和創新型人才,同時推進研究戰略佈局,打造高水平科研創新平台,推動科技成果轉化,助力澳門經濟適度多元發展,相信在下一個十年,澳大將再次迎來迅速的發展。

有來自山東的耿女士帶同女兒參加澳大開放日,她喜歡澳大優美的開放式校園環境,提供優質的教學環境和科研條件,希望女兒有機會參加澳大的暑期課程,更好地樹立理想,為升學打下堅實基礎。亦有家長陪同正就讀聖羅撒女子中學的高三級雙胞胎女兒參觀澳大,他們認為參加開放日有助掌握更多入學及課程資訊,增進對澳大的人才培養體系、學術氛圍等了解,會支持女兒在澳大升學。選科目標是工商管理領域的何同學了解到澳大近年推出的商業分析課程貼合其興趣,且符合社會發展趨勢,相信若成功入讀,會有寬闊的發展前景。

開放日期間,各學院、研究機構、實驗室和書院精心設計的入學講座、學術和科普講座、實驗室體驗、工作坊、互動遊戲攤位、表演、展覽等逾200項活動,將趣味科學知識及文化體驗融入其中,讓參加者親身體驗元宇宙賽車、中醫藥香療的樂趣,窺探“福爾摩斯的微觀世界”、“細胞偵探局”的奧秘,挑戰“測謊”實驗、心電感應,與四足仿生機器人互動,趣製雞蛋仔及咖啡渣磨砂膏等,從中感受澳大的學習氛圍,探索個人興趣和潛能。十間住宿式書院亦安排獎賞遊覽活動,以遊戲、共膳教育體驗等方式,讓參加者感受書院系統的育人理念。另外,位於橫琴的珠海澳大科技研究院安排科研專題講座、入學講座和校友分享會等,展示澳大將教育與實驗延伸到橫琴的成果。

此外,澳大科技學院、人工智能與機器人研究中心助理教授鍾俊文在開放日啟動儀式上,以“用於虛擬現實的可穿戴觸覺反饋器件——千里之外,觸手可及"為題進行項目簡報,介紹澳大在柔性智能材料的最新研究成果,啟發學生以科學改變未來的志趣。

UM holds Open Day in Macao and Hengqin to showcase its features and achievements

The University of Macau (UM) held its Open Day today (12 January) to allow the public to learn about its latest developments and experience its vibrant campus culture. More than 200 activities took place throughout the day, showcasing UM’s educational philosophy, learning environment, academic offerings, and developments in recent years. Parents agree that UM has a comprehensive talent cultivation system that provides an excellent teaching and research environment for students, adding that they will encourage their children to pursue further studies in Macao.

This year’s UM Open Day was held in a hybrid format. Both the UM campus and the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute were open to the public, and the live stream of the event reached a total of over 250,000 views across UM’s various social media platforms. Speaking at the opening ceremony, UM Rector Yonghua Song said that UM has made significant developments and achievements since its relocation in 2014. The university also seized a new opportunity last year by becoming the first university in Macao to extend its teaching and research activities to the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. In December last year, the university held a land handover and groundbreaking ceremony for its campus in the Cooperation Zone, marking the official commencement of the campus construction. As a university rooted in Macao, UM will continue to take part in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, integrate with the nation, and go global. The university is committed to producing creative and socially responsible graduates with a global mindset and international competitiveness. Meanwhile, UM will continue to enhance its strategic research layout, build high-level scientific research and innovation platforms, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and support Macao’s economic diversification. Song also expressed hope that UM will experience another round of rapid development in the next decade.

Mrs Geng from Shandong Province attended the UM Open Day with her daughter. She appreciates UM’s beautiful and open campus, as well as the university’s high-quality learning and research environment. She hopes that her daughter will have the opportunity to attend UM’s summer programme, which can help her daughter find her development direction and lay a solid foundation for further studies. A pair of twins, who are currently form six students at Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima, also visited UM with their parents. Their parents agree that the UM Open Day helped them gain a better understanding of the university’s admission information and academic programmes. They also learned more about UM’s talent cultivation system and academic atmosphere, and will support their daughters to study at UM. Ho, a student who wants to study business administration, learned that UM’s newly launched programme in business analytics aligns with his interests and meets the needs of social development. He believes that studying at UM will have broad development prospects.

Throughout the UM Open Day, various faculties, research institutes, laboratories, and residential colleges hosted over 200 activities, including admission talks, academic and science talks, laboratory activities, workshops, interactive booth games, performances, and exhibitions. These activities integrated fun science knowledge and cultural experiences, allowing participants to take part in metaverse racing games and Chinese medicine aromatherapy, explore the world under the microscope and the mysteries of cells, take lie detection tests, learn about telepathy, interact with the quadruped bionic robot, and make egg waffles and coffee ground scrubs. Through these activities, visitors experienced UM’s learning atmosphere and explored their interests and potential. UM’s ten residential colleges also offered guided tours, where participants gained insights into the colleges’ educational philosophy through games and communal dining experiences. In addition, the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute in Hengqin held science lectures, admission talks, and alumni sharing sessions to showcase UM’s teaching and research achievements in Hengqin.

Furthermore, Zhong Junwen, assistant professor in the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UM, gave a presentation titled ‘Wearable haptic feedback devices for virtual reality—Thousands of miles away, we can touch’ at the opening ceremony. He shared UM’s latest research achievements in flexible smart materials, inspiring students to make the world a better place through science.

中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室論文於權威期刊刊登

由中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室團隊撰寫的《基於作用機制的中藥質量研究體系》論文發表於權威期刊《中國科學:生命科學》。該期刊由中國科學院主管、中國科學院與國家自然科學基金委員會主辦。

中藥質量歷來是中藥研究的重點和行業關注的焦點。然而,由於作用機制不明、來源多樣、成分複雜,中藥質量如何更直接體現臨床應用的有效性與安全性,仍然是阻礙中藥產業高質量發展的關鍵科學問題。2020年,中國科學技術協會發佈的十個前沿科學問題中,“調節人體免疫功能的中醫藥機制是什麼”為唯一中醫藥領域的重大科學問題,凸顯了中醫藥機制研究的重要性。

中藥發揮作用的物質基礎及其生物學機制貫穿於中藥研發、生產以及臨床應用活動的全過程,是中藥質量的核心要素。實驗室團隊圍繞中藥質量研究的現狀進行深入分析,提出基於作用機制的中藥質量研究,打通了中藥產業鏈各個環節的底層邏輯,也凸顯了中藥臨床價值的重要科學依據。通過基於藥效機制的中藥有效性評價、基於毒理機制的中藥安全性評價、基於新技術新方法的中藥質量評價、基於質量研究的中藥研發轉化等方向進行有組織的科學研究,將為中藥質量保障輸出原創性標誌物、新技術和新方法,從而促進中藥現代化、國際化和中藥產業高質量發展。

在2024年,澳門大學及澳門科技大學的中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室以重組為契機,進一步明確定位、凝練優勢、加強統籌創新,明確聚焦基於中藥作用機制的質量研究,開展系統深入、有組織的科研活動。該論文是澳大與澳科大實驗室科研人員對實驗室十多年來科學實踐的理論總結,也是對實驗室未來發展方向的展望,其發表將有助於推動中藥質量研究的模式創新和理念創新,彰顯了澳門科學家在推動中醫藥高質量發展的方向性與戰略性的理論貢獻。

Research paper by State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine published in prestigious journal

The paper titled ‘Mechanism-oriented quality research system for traditional Chinese medicine’, authored by the research team from the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (SKL-QRCM) of the University of Macau (UM), has been published in SCIENTIA SINICA Vitae, a prestigious journal overseen by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The quality of Chinese medicine has always been a focus of research and industry attention. However, due to the unclear mechanisms of action, diverse sources and varieties, and complex composition of Chinese medicine, the industry has encountered difficulties in establishing a system to show the relationship between the quality of Chinese medicine and the efficacy and safety of clinical applications, which has hindered the high-quality development of the Chinese medicine industry.

The research teams conducted an in-depth analysis of the current state of quality research of Chinese medicine and proposed a mechanism-oriented approach to quality research of Chinese medicine, which elucidates the underlying logic of various segments of the Chinese medicine industry and highlights the clinical value of Chinese medicine. They also introduced new biomarkers, technologies, and methods for more precise quality control of Chinese medicine, thereby promoting the modernisation, internationalisation, and high-quality development of the Chinese medicine industry. The paper is a theoretical summary of more than a decade of scientific practice by researchers from UM and the Macau University of Science and Technology, and will drive innovation in both models and concepts of quality research of Chinese medicine.

澳大中華醫藥研究院辦首屆計算藥劑學研討會

2024年12月14至16日,澳門大學中華醫藥研究院舉辦首屆計算藥劑學研討會—“製藥4.0中的人工智能和建模”,吸引麻省理工學院、哥本哈根大學、北京大學等世界知名大學的專家參與,共同探討計算藥劑學領域的最新進展和挑戰。

開幕式上,澳大副校長葛偉強調了人工智慧在製藥領域的巨大潛力,以及澳大對促進技術創新和跨學科合作的承諾。

會上,來自國際知名大學:瑞典烏普薩拉大學、英國薩里大學、芬蘭赫爾辛基大學、美國麻省理工學院和太平洋大學、丹麥哥本哈根大學、加拿大多倫多大學、北京大學、上海交通大學、中南大學、暨南大學、廣東工業大學、澳門理工大學、澳門大學等的演講者,分享了他們在計算藥劑學領域的研究和實踐成就,深入探討了計算藥劑學在藥物發現與開發,人工智慧在藥物遞送、多尺度模擬,高性能計算與機器人在藥物研發中的應用等。另外,來自製藥工業界的多位專家也積極參與討論,共同推動計算藥劑學領域的發展。

是次研討會為學術界、行業和政府部門提供了重要平台,促進了交流與合作。其成功舉辦標誌著澳門在人工智慧與製藥交叉領域的國際影響力日益提升,也為澳門的技術創新和可持續發展注入新活力。未來,澳大將繼續支持和推動人工智慧在製藥領域的發展。

UM Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences holds 1st Symposium on Computational Pharmaceutics

The Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) of the University of Macau (UM) held the ‘1st Symposium on Computational Pharmaceutics—AI and Modeling in Pharma 4.0’ from 14 to 16 December 2024. The symposium brought together experts from world-renowned universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Copenhagen, and Peking University, to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in computational pharmaceutics.

In his opening remarks, UM Vice Rector Ge Wei highlighted the immense potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the pharmaceutical sector, and UM’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The symposium featured speakers from prestigious institutions worldwide, including Uppsala University in Sweden, the University of Surrey in the UK, the University of Helsinki in Finland, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of the Pacific in the US, the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, the University of Toronto in Canada, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Central South University, Jinan University, Guangdong University of Technology, Macao Polytechnic University, and UM. They shared their research and practices in the field of computational pharmaceutics, and discussed in depth the applications of computational pharmaceutics in drug discovery and development, the applications of AI in drug delivery, and the applications of multi-scale modelling, high-performance computing, and robotics in drug research and development. Experts from the pharmaceutical industry also actively engaged in the discussions, furthering the development of computational pharmaceutics.

The symposium provided an important platform for academia, industry, and government sectors to facilitate communication and cooperation. The successful hosting of the event highlights Macao’s growing international influence at the intersection of AI and pharmaceuticals, and injects new vitality into Macao’s technological innovation and sustainable development. UM will continue to support and promote the development of AI in the pharmaceutical sector.

澳門大學工商管理學院舉辦2024年澳門商業智能與分析國際會議,匯聚一眾知名學者和研究人員,共同探討商業智能與數據分析領域的最新發展動態,促進了思想交流及創新合作。

UM holds Macau International Conference on Business Intelligence and Analytics

The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau (UM) held the 2024 Macau International Conference on Business Intelligence and Analytics. The event brought together eminent scholars and researchers to discuss the latest developments in business intelligence and data analytics, fostering intellectual exchange and innovative collaboration.

In his opening remarks, Yonghua Song, rector of UM, highlighted the transformative role of business intelligence and data analytics, and noted that the conference would provide an important platform for global academic exchange and innovation.

The conference featured a rich programme of keynote speeches, invited sessions, and discussion sessions. Key topics included artificial intelligence, big data analytics, decision-making systems, and emerging technologies. The event attracted over 200 faculty members, students, and researchers.

The conference featured two keynote speakers. Fan Jianqing, Frederick L. Moore ’18 Professor of Finance, professor of statistics and machine learning, and professor of operations research and financial engineering at Princeton University, spoke on ‘Unearthing Financial Statement Fraud: Insights from News Coverage Analysis’. Gary Zhang, founder and CEO of Micro Connect and CEO of Micro Connect Macao Financial Assets Exchange (MCEX), shared insights on ‘RBF vs Equity/Debt’.

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, business intelligence and analytics have emerged as indispensable tools for decision-making, providing valuable insights that help businesses gain a competitive edge. With a focus on cutting-edge technologies, innovative methodologies, and their real-world applications, the conference fostered collaboration and drove advancements in the field.

澳大鄭裕彤書院家國情懷教育獲獎作品集出版

澳門大學鄭裕彤書院代院長黃承發、副院長龔映雪主編的《大雅留聲——澳門大學鄭裕彤書院“家國情懷”教育獲獎作品集》由澳門文化公所正式出版,象徵著該書院的家國情懷教育取得標誌性成果。

澳大副校長莫啓明為作品集作序。該作品集分為七大部分,共收錄23篇文章,其中20篇為澳大鄭裕彤書院12名學生於各類徵文比賽的獲獎作品。這些比賽主題廣泛,既有與國家安全相關的“我心中的文化安全”和“我心中的網絡安全”徵文比賽,也有與人類文明相關的“5000年文明遇見2023”徵文比賽,以及與澳門息息相關的《圖說鏡海—鏡海歸帆圖》觀後感和澳門文學作品讀後感。另外,作品集還收錄了三篇學生寫作心得。

該書主編黃承發表示,澳大的書院教育一直致力培養學生七大勝任力,包括公民責任心、全球競爭力、知識整合能力、團隊協作、服務與領導、文化參與和健康生活;參與徵文比賽,增強了學生的公民責任心、知識整合能力和文化參與。

該作品集的新書分享會在澳大鄭裕彤書院舉行。莫啓明、澳大學生事務長彭執中、黃承發、書院代表等出席發佈會。在發佈會上,黃承發介紹了作品集的背景及其在家國情懷教育中的意義。隨後,龔映雪、作者代表鄭雅瑜和戴孜怡分享了各自的創作意圖和寫作心得,並談到這些作品不僅是個人表達的結果,更是對家國情感的深刻理解和反思。分享引起與會者共鳴,並對作品集的形式和內容表示認可。

Collection of award-winning essays on patriotism from UM Cheng Yu Tung College published

The book Voices of Elegance—A Collection of Award-Winning Essays on Patriotism from Cheng Yu Tong College of the University of Macau, edited by Interim Master Wong Seng Fat and Associate Master Gong Yingxue of Cheng Yu Tong College (CYTC) of the University of Macau (UM), has been published by Culture Hall. This publication marks a significant milestone in CYTC’s efforts in national education.

The book’s foreword was written by Mok Kai Ming, vice rector of UM. The book is divided into seven sections and features 23 articles, 20 of which are award-winning essays by 12 CYTC students who participated in various writing competitions. The competitions covered topics such as cultural security, cybersecurity, Chinese civilisation, reviews of the film ‘Macao: Back to Common Roots Narrative Film’, and reviews of Macao literary works. The collection also includes three essays on students’ writing experiences.

Prof Wong, who is also the editor of the book, said that UM’s residential college education aims to cultivate seven competencies among students: responsible citizenship, global competitiveness, knowledge integration, teamwork and collaboration, service and leadership, cultural engagement, and healthy lifestyle. Students have improved their responsible citizenship, cultural engagement, and knowledge integration through participation in writing competitions.

The book launch event was held at CYTC. The event was attended by Vice Rector Mok; Pang Chap Chong, dean of students of UM; and college representatives. During the event, Prof Wong introduced the background of the book and its significance for national education. Prof Gong, and student writers Cheang Nga U and Dai Ziyi, then shared their creative intentions and writing experiences. They mentioned that these works not only reflect the writers’ personal expressions, but also convey their deep understanding of the concept of patriotism. Their sharing and the book received positive feedback from those who attended the event.

李飛肯定澳大國情教育

澳門大學一直重視憲法、基本法和國家安全教育,持續整合資源,期望有效地開展相關工作。在國家憲法日,澳門基本法推廣協會舉辦“維護憲法和基本法確定的特區憲制秩序”專題講座,邀請十三屆全國人大憲法和法律委員會主任委員、全國人大常委會澳門基本法委員會原主任李飛主講。期間,李飛肯定了澳大開展的相關工作。

講座中,李飛肯定了澳大開展相關工作的表現,包括成立憲法與基本法研究中心、實施憲法與基本法系統化教學方案、協助澳門特區政府為品德與公民科教師開展憲法與基本法教學培訓、開展憲法與基本法優苗教員課程等。

澳大憲法與基本法研究中心表示,為配合國家和特區政府施政,開展全澳憲法與基本法必修課任務,澳大於2018年成立憲法與基本法研究中心,以開展澳大全校必修課任務,並為特區政府草擬《澳門高校憲法與基本法課程(非法學專業)教學示範大綱》和編寫《中國憲法簡明讀本》。相關工作不僅作為各校開展憲法與基本法通識課程教學的指引,以及澳門公職人員、部分高校憲法教材和中小學憲法補充教材的藍本,更成為特區系統化國情教育的基石。

根據成立宗旨,澳大憲法與基本法研究中心於2018年底設計澳門大學的憲法與基本法系統化教學方案,並分別於2019年和2020年完成前測和方案全覆蓋教學,並開展成效評估,2022年加入國家安全內容於系統中開展教學。方案的科學性和有效性獲特區政府認可,並推薦予教育部,最終由教育部委以開展“澳門特區憲法與基本法普及教育系統化研究”課題,研究在全澳開展澳大方案的可行性,最終在澳門特區政府教育及青年發展局、中華教育會及澳門天主教學校聯會的協助下,於2022年完成5間高校和46間中小學將近350份高校通識課程負責人、高校憲法與基本法教學人員、中小學品德與公民科目負責人、品德與公民科目教師的面訪與問卷調查,完成全澳國情教育開展成效的普查工作。

中小學普查數據和澳大澳門新生學習憲法與基本法課程之前的國情數據與畢業中學進行交叉,能夠反映每間中學學生的國情圖像,並根據學習據數分布及中小學普查數據比對,總結和歸納成功開展國情教育的因子,推廣成功個案並協助其他學校提升教育成效。最終,澳大憲法與基本法研究中心與澳門特區政府教青局、澳門基本法推廣協會合作,啟動“品德與公民科國情教育輔助教具計劃”,開發憲法、基本法與國家安全教育的教學指引、教學課件和題庫,解決中小學品德與公民科教師非專業、無培訓、缺工具的三大問題。

為有效擴大澳門特區的社會政治基礎,澳大憲法與基本法研究中心也根據學生在大一修讀憲法與基本法課程時的學習情況,篩選出國情知識豐富、愛國情懷深厚、報國行為積極、未於校外參加社團活動並有意願參與推廣活動的優苗學生,透過澳大住宿式書院系統開展優苗教員培訓課程,並以優苗教員為骨幹,在書院組織家國情懷小組,開展校內和社區的兩法宣傳推廣工作。在培訓和試教後,部分經澳大法學院、書院和觀眾三方評估的優苗教員,可代表澳大到澳門基本法推廣協會參與澳門基本法青年推廣大使的培訓工作,並於完成培訓後加入澳門基本法青年推廣大使協會,未來隨協會到澳門各中小學推廣憲法、基本法與國家安全教育。

Li Fei praises UM’s efforts in national education

The University of Macau (UM) attaches great importance to the Constitution, the Basic Law, and National Security education, and continuously integrates resources to effectively carry out related work. On the National Constitution Day, the Macao Basic Law Promotion Association held a talk on upholding the constitutional order of the SAR established by the Constitution and the Basic Law. The speaker was Li Fei, chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress and former director of the Macao Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

During the event, Li praised UM for its efforts in promoting the Constitution and the Basic Law education, including the establishment of the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies, the implementation of a systematic curriculum for the Constitution and the Basic Law education, assisting the Macao SAR Government in training local teachers of moral and civic education on the two laws, and organising the UM Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassador Training Programme.

澳大學生於全球人工智能比賽獲一等獎

澳門大學科技學院學生團隊於“2024年騰訊開悟人工智能全球公開賽”中脫穎而出,奪得智能體博弈算法賽道國際決賽一等獎,並獲得人民幣十萬元獎金。是次比賽吸引全球18個國家及地區、近390所高校共2000多支隊伍參與,涵蓋英國、日本、德國、美國、新加坡等。

澳大科技學院表示,近年在人工智能研究及教學上皆取得顯著成果,除了注重理論基礎教學外,更加強培養學生動手實踐的能力。在實踐課程中,騰訊公司免費提供算力資源及開悟強化學習訓練平台,助力學生在實踐中提升技能。此外,澳大科技學院去年推出人工智能碩士課程,並計劃在澳大橫琴粵港澳深度合作區校區大力推進人工智能學科建設。是次獲獎不僅肯定了澳大在人工智能教育和研究上的建設和投入,同時彰顯了澳大科技學院在培養具有國際競爭力的高科技人才的成就。未來,學院期望繼續通過加強人工智能領域的研究及教學,為社會培養更多具備創新精神和實踐能力的專才。

比賽設置五大賽道,包括智能體博弈算法賽道、AI芯片算子開發賽道、智能交通信號燈調度賽道、AIPC高效能博弈賽道及移動端AI模型輕量化部署賽道,為不同研究領域的學生提供展示才能和探索前沿技術的舞台。在澳大科技學院電腦及資訊科學系助理教授王也的指導下,團隊成員梁家豪、司佳寧、李浩龍、Leandro Schlosser Acosta及黃盅豫在激烈角逐中勝出,成為澳大學生在人工智能競賽中的重大突破。

是次賽事由四川省教育廳、重慶市教育委員會、四川省科技廳及重慶市科技局聯合主辦,四川大學、成都市委人才辦及騰訊公司共同承辦,並依托騰訊開悟AI開放研究平台進行。比賽宗旨為“以賽促學”,旨在推動高校人工智能專業人才培養,深化產學研合作,並促進人工智能領域的研究與應用發展。

UM students win first prize in global AI competition

A team of students from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of the University of Macau (UM) participated in the 2024 Tencent AI Arena Global Open Competition and won the first prize in the international final of the Intelligent Agent Gaming Algorithm Track. The team received a prize of RMB 100,000. The competition attracted over 2,000 teams from nearly 390 universities across 18 countries and regions, including the UK, Japan, Germany, the US, and Singapore.

In recent years, FST has achieved remarkable results in both AI research and education. In addition to attaching importance on teaching basic theories, the faculty has enhanced the curriculum to strengthen students’ practical skills. Tencent has supported these efforts by providing free computational resources and access to its reinforcement learning training platform, helping students improve their skills through hands-on experience. In addition, FST launched a master’s programme in artificial intelligence last year and plans to further develop AI disciplines at UM’s campus in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The award not only recognises UM’s efforts in AI education and research, but also highlights FST’s efforts in cultivating high-tech talent with international competitiveness. Looking forward, the faculty will continue to enhance research and teaching in AI to cultivate more innovative and skilled professionals for society.

The competition featured five tracks: Intelligent Agent Gaming Algorithm Track, AI Chip Operator Development Track, Intelligent Traffic Signal Scheduling Track, AIPC High Performance Gaming Track, and Mobile AI Model Lightweight Deployment Track. These tracks provided a platform for students from various research fields to showcase their skills and explore cutting-edge technologies. Under the guidance of Wang Ye, assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science of FST, the UM team—formed by Leong Ka Hou, Si Jianing, Li Haolong, Leandro Schlosser Acosta, and Huang Zhongyu—won the competition, marking a significant breakthrough for UM students in AI competitions.

The competition was jointly organised by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, and was co-hosted by Sichuan University, Talent Work Leading Group Office of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, and Tencent. It was held on the Tencent AI Arena Open Research Platform. Themed ‘From Games to Reality’, the competition aimed to foster the cultivation of AI professionals in higher education institutions, deepen industry-academia collaboration, and promote the development of AI research and application.

澳大中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室與湖北時珍實驗室合辦研討會

為探索中醫藥守正創新的新方向,促進中醫藥事業傳承與創新,搭建中醫藥臨床與基礎科研交流平台,澳門大學中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室與湖北時珍實驗室合辦中醫藥前沿研討會,吸引了一眾中醫藥專家、研究人員和師生參與。

研討會共有五個學術報告。湖北中醫藥大學中醫大師張六通以“中醫衰老學說若干問題的思考”為題,提出了衰老病機證型的臟虛絡痹學說,為更準確地使用中醫藥防治衰老相關疾病提供了理論指導。湖北中醫藥大學校長陳剛以“中醫藥與老年慢病防治”為題,圍繞老年慢病深入淺出地闡述了中醫藥在治未病中的主導作用、在重大疾病中的協同作用,以及在疾病康復過程中的核心作用。湖北中醫藥大學教授向楠分享了時珍學術思想的繼承與發展,深入探討了醫藥雙聖李時珍的學術成就、李時珍學術思想中“痰”的概念及其在現代疾病治療中的應用。澳大中華醫藥研究院院長、中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室主任陳新探討了中藥免疫調節作用的細胞及分子機制,闡述了中藥通過多種途徑調控免疫系統功能,從而預防和治療多種疾病。澳大中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室助理主任王勝鵬則分享了中醫經典名方研發的實踐與思考,闡述了現階段經典名方研發瓶頸和前沿研發思路。

此外,澳大校長宋永華還與湖北時珍實驗室代表團會面,雙方就進一步落實中醫藥研發合作、人才交流、成果轉化、協同創新等具體內容進行了深入交流,一致表示將更好利用鄂澳兩地的科技人才、技術平台及自然資源,持續推動中醫藥學術交流、加快兩地中醫藥產業聯動發展,提升中醫藥國際影響力。

UM SKL-QRCM, Hubei Shizhen Laboratory co-organise seminar

The State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (SKL-QRCM) of the University of Macau (UM) and Hubei Shizhen Laboratory co-organised the Traditional Chinese Medicine Frontier Seminar. The seminar aimed to explore new directions in the advancement of Chinese medicine, promote the development and innovation of Chinese medicine, and provide an exchange platform for clinical research and basic research in Chinese medicine. It was well attended by Chinese medicine experts, researchers, faculty, and students.

The seminar featured five academic presentations, which were given by Chinese medicine expert Zhang Liutong, President Chen Gang, and Professor Xiang Nan from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine; Chen Xin, director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences and director of SKL-QRCM of UM; and Wang Shengpeng, assistant director of SKL-QRCM of UM. In addition, UM Rector Yonghua Song met with the delegation from Hubei Shizhen Laboratory and held in-depth discussions on cooperation in research and development of Chinese medicine, talent cultivation, transformation of research results, and collaborative innovation. Both parties expressed their commitment to leveraging the science and technology talent, technology platforms, and natural resources of Macao and Hubei to promote academic exchanges in Chinese medicine, accelerate the integrated development of the Chinese medicine industry in the two places, and enhance the international influence of Chinese medicine.

澳大與金沙中國合辦管理學專業文憑課程圓滿結束

澳門大學持續進修中心、工商管理學院商業研究及培訓中心、高級管理人員教育辦公室與金沙中國有限公司為金沙中國有限公司團隊合辦的一年制管理學專業文憑課程圓滿結束並舉行結業禮,向第七屆(2023-2024)完成課程的24位學員頒發文憑證書並作出嘉許。

學員分別來自金沙中國多個部門,如資產與設施管理部、餐飲部、保安部、禮賓部等。該文憑課程特別為金沙中國團隊成員量身訂製,切合其所需;課程亦按澳大對歷屆學員的觀察,期間因應團隊成員的學習情況及工作需要作出調整。

澳大持續進修中心主任劉丁己致辭時感謝金沙中國對澳大的支持和信任,同時感謝所有培訓導師的支持和專業指導,讓學員學習到更多商業管理知識及技巧,期望學員能有效地運用學到的知識來處理工作上所面對的挑戰。劉丁己表示樂意聆聽各界的培訓需求,推動澳門的持續教育。

金沙中國營運行政副總裁麥萃賢表示,持續投放資源培育團隊成員,一直是金沙中國的首要重點,未來也會繼續與澳門院校合作,推動澳門人才培訓。該文憑課程讓團隊成員同時兼備專業進修及技能發展,對學員的個人成長,以至對公司及行業發展均有幫助。他期望團隊成員充分把握此項獨特的文憑課程,不斷學習知識、增強技能。

學員馮淑芳表示,在一年的學習裡,除了增長知識,也收獲了友誼,更為職涯增添力量的儲備。馮淑芳感謝金沙中國、公司各高層領導、澳大提供的機會,以及教授、家人及同學的支持。

該文憑課程於2014/2015學年由澳大持續進修中心推出,已有超過200名金沙中國團隊成員順利完成課程。

Diploma programme jointly organised by UM and Sands China concludes with success

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), the Business Research and Training Center and the Executive Education of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau (UM), in collaboration with Sands China Limited, organised the seventh edition (2023-2024) of the one-year diploma programme in business management. A graduation ceremony was held to present certificates to 24 participants who completed the programme.

The participants were from various departments at Sands China, including asset and facilities management, food and beverage, security, and concierge. The diploma programme was specifically designed to meet the needs of Sands China staff. Based on the experience of previous editions, the programme was adjusted throughout the study period to accommodate the learning progress and work schedules of the participants.

CCE has offered the diploma programme since the 2014/2015 academic year. To date, more than 200 Sands China staff have completed the programme.

澳大教授徐青松獲選為IEEE會士

澳門大學科技學院機電工程系教授徐青松獲選為國際電氣和電子工程師協會會士(IEEE Fellow),以表彰他在微納米定位及操控機器人領域的傑出成就。作為IEEE機器人與自動化學會首位獲此榮譽的澳門學者,徐青松的當選反映著其對科學研究領域的傑出貢獻,也彰顯著澳大在全球學術界聲譽的顯著提升。

電氣和電子工程師協會(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, IEEE)自1963年成立,是全球電子、電氣、計算機、通信、自動化工程技術研究領域最著名、規模最大的非營利性跨國學術組織,在全球190多個國家和地區擁有46萬多名會員。IEEE Fellow是該會授予成員的最高榮譽。IEEE Fellow評審程式規範嚴格,當選人數不超過IEEE當年會員總數的千分之一,且僅授予對科學技術進步作出重大貢獻並對社會產生深遠影響的優秀學者。

徐青松於澳大科技學院機電工程系執教,並擔任該學院智能與微納系統實驗室(SMNSL)的創始主任。他於2008年獲澳大機電工程博士學位,2010年在澳大擔任助理教授,並分別於2015年及2019年提前晉升為副教授及教授。徐青松於2021年當選為澳門首位美國機械工程師學會會士(ASME Fellow),成為少數幾位同時榮獲ASME Fellow和IEEE Fellow的華人學者。

徐青松目前已出版四本英文著作,並在國際期刊和會議上發表400多篇論文。他的研究成果屢獲嘉獎,包括多次榮獲澳門科學技術獎,以及在2019至2024年連續六屆入選年度及終身全球前2%頂尖科學家名單。他目前擔任《IEEE機器人彙刊》副主編,並曾任職於多個重要國際期刊的技術編輯或副主編職位,包括《IEEE/ASME機電一體化彙刊》的技術編輯、《IEEE自動化科學與工程彙刊》、《IEEE機器人與自動化快報》等十多個國際期刊的副主編。徐青松的成就不僅提升了澳大在國際學術舞台上的聲譽,同時為全球機器人與自動化科學的研究注入新動力,其成功的經歷將繼續激勵更多學子追求卓越、探索未知,為社會進步作出更大貢獻。

UM professor Xu Qingsong honoured as IEEE Fellow

Xu Qingsong, professor in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Macau (UM), has been elected a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the design and control of robotic micro- and nano-positioning and manipulation systems. Prof Xu is the first scholar from Macao to receive this honour from the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. His election not only reflects his significant contributions to scientific research but also highlights UM’s growing reputation in the international academic community.

IEEE, formed in 1963, is the world’s largest and most prestigious non-profit international society in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, communications, and automation engineering. IEEE currently has over 460,000 members across more than 190 countries and regions, and IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership in IEEE. The selection process for IEEE Fellows is rigorous, with no more than 0.1% of the total voting membership being elevated to Fellow grade each year. This prestigious title is awarded to distinguished scholars who have made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology and have had a profound impact on society.

Prof Xu is a professor in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of FST at UM and is the founding director of the Smart and Micro/Nano Systems Laboratory (SMNSL) of FST. He obtained his PhD in electromechanical engineering from UM in 2008, joined UM as an assistant professor in 2010, and was promoted to associate professor and full professor in 2015 and 2019, respectively. In 2021, Prof Xu was elected a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), becoming the first scholar from Macao to receive this honour. Together with the IEEE Fellowship, he has become one of the few Chinese scholars to hold fellowships from both ASME and IEEE.

Prof Xu has published four monographs in English and over 400 papers in international journals and conferences. His research has earned him numerous awards, including several Macao Science and Technology Awards. Prof Xu has been listed among the top 2% of scientists in the world for six consecutive years, from 2019 to 2024. He currently serves as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Robotics and has held editorial positions for more than ten prestigious international journals, including IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters. Prof Xu’s achievements have enhanced UM’s reputation in the international academic community and given new impetus to robotics and automation research worldwide. His success will continue to inspire more students to pursue excellence, explore the unknown, and contribute to societal progress.
