UM Korfball Team has established valuable friendship with the participating teams

UM Korfball Team participate at “13th All China University Korfball Championship”

The “13th All China University Korfball Championship” organized by the Federation of University Sports of China was held successfully from 30 Jul to 4 Aug in Guizhou. There were a total of 20 university teams and over 260 athletes participating in the championship.

UM Korfball Team sent a team of 8 members to compete in the event. The team members showcased their excellent coordination and teamwork, demonstrated the excellent team spirit of UM sports teams. The team ultimately completed the competition in 4th runner-up.

During the competition, apart from their outstanding performance on the field, the Team also conducted friendly matches with other university teams. Moreover, team members also participated in cultural tour, where they looked around many precious historical artifacts and the tour deepen their understanding of the country’s historical culture.

UM Rock Climbing Team Group Photo

Ho Man Io (FST/CKPC) got the gold medal in Men’s Group A Boulder event and the bronze medal in Difficulty event

Competition Highlights

UM Rock Climbing Team captured 1 gold in “Men’s Group A Boulder” and 1 Bronze in “Men’s Group A Difficulty” at “19th All China University Rock Climbing Championship”

The “20th All China University Rock Climbing Championship” organized by the Federation of University Sports of China and the Chinese Mountaineering Association was held successfully from 29 Jul to 3 Aug in Yuncheng, Shandong. The competition included Men’s and Women’s category, with 6 events: All-round, Boulder, Difficulty, Speed, Speed Relay and Team Competition. The competition attracted over 380 athletes from 67 universities in mainland China.

UM Rock Climbing Team sent 5 team members to participate in the Difficulty event, Boulder event and Team Competition in the Men’s and Women’s Group A category. After 4 days of competition, our team members performed steadily and eventually won the gold medal in the Men’s Group A Boulder event and the bronze medal in Difficulty event, with the team ranking 5th in the Group A.

Team Interview

UM Cheerleading Team participated in activity “上場吧!啦啦隊!” in Hangzhou

UM Cheerleading Team is being invited by 浙江衛視（中國藍新平台） to participate in activity “上場吧！啦啦隊” in Hangzhou. This activity is going to be launched as a TV program during the 2024 Olympic Games, with the aim of promoting cheerleading as a sport to the general public and cheering on the Olympics

The TV program attracted 100 cheerleading athletes from mainland China, including former Olympic gymnastics champions, World Champions in artistic gymnastics, and teams that have won multiple titles at the FISU World University Games, World Championships, and National Championships. This brought a diverse range of cheerleading styles and performance levels to the activity.

A total of 5 cheerleading members were selected to represent the university in this activity. Although the team did not advance to the final round, however, the team showcased their audacity and team spirit, their performance received applause from the judges and audience. The team captain, Li Ying Ting, was invited to participate in the filming of the theme song music video due to her outstanding performance. Through this activity, UM students had a great opportunity for promoting UM as well as interacting with cheerleading players from different regions.

The TV program will be broadcast at 20:20 every Sunday on 浙江衛視 starting from 4 Aug.

李穎婷 (中間) 隊長 會計學 大三 我非常榮幸以隊長的身分代表學校競技啦啦隊參加這個節目,  在比賽中, 我遇到了一班非常熱情友善的參賽者和工作人員。當我們遇到困難時, 他們提供了耐心的指導和大力支持, 讓我們感動不已。雖然過程充滿挑戰,  感謝有他們的幫助和鼓勵。這次寶貴的經歷讓我認識到自己的不足,  同時也體會到身邊同伴的可貴。我會珍惜這份收穫,  繼續努力改善不足, 為學校爭光。最後, 我由衷的感謝體育事務部一直以來對我們校隊的悉心培養,  不僅提供了寶貴的參賽機會,  更是給予了全方位的資源支持。

區羨盈(左二) 助理 葡語研究 大四 這是我第一次參加綜藝節目拍攝, 整個過程中, 我帶著緊張興奮的心情來到杭州參與錄影。雖然每天都早出晚歸，需要完成錄製節目、拍攝、採訪等種種任務, 但收穫滿滿。感謝體育事務部為我們提供參賽的機會, 也感謝浙江衛視節目組邀請澳門大學競技啦啦隊, 讓我體驗不同行業的工作。在現場拍攝過程中, 我親身感受到了節目錄製的快節奏和高壓力。讓我深有感觸的是, 在錄製的過程中工作人員和其他選手互相打氣鼓勵, 深深感受到了大家的溫暖, 也許這就是啦啦隊的精神。經此之後,  隊友們共同克服挑戰, 建立了深厚的友誼。

袁梓軒 (右二) 隊員 心理學 大三 從小到大我都沒有想過能參與電視節目, 這次是一個很特別的經歷。能夠以自己熱愛的運動展現給觀眾, 我感到十分難得！過程中與很多專業的選手們同場作賽,  壓力撲面而來,  最後在隊友的支持鼓勵下,  我們頂着壓力,  享受舞台,  真的十分熱血！經過這一趟旅程, 與親愛的隊員們的關係有一種由朋友昇華到戰友的感覺。最後由衷地感謝澳門大學和浙江衛視給我們這次寶貴的體驗。

Activity Highlights

UM Korfball Team won the Champion at “67th Festival of Sport – President Cup Korfball Sports Trial and Demonstration Invitation Competition 2024”

The “67th Festival of Sport – President Cup Korfball Sports Trial and Demonstration Invitation Competition 2024” (organized by Hong Kong China Korfball Association Limited) was successfully held in Hong Kong on 15 Jun. The competition attracted a total of 13 teams from Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia competing for 4 categories.

UM Korfball Team sent 11 members (7 men and 4 women) to participate in the university category and won the championship at last.  All team members demonstrated outstanding performance and sportsmanship in the competition.

Congratulations to the award-winning athletes and team members, and expresses its appreciation for their hard work and dedication, which have brought this honor to the University of Macau.

“2023/2024 UM CICA Master’s Cup Cheerleading Competition” was held successfully

“2023/2024 UM CICA Master’s Cup Cheerleading Competition” was held successfully on 14 Apr. The Cheerleading Competition is a signature annual event for 10 RCs and it is jointly organized by Committee on Inter-College Affairs (CICA) and the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA).

Besides 300 participants and working personnel of the competition, it attracted over 700 staff and students to attend and support their RC teams on-site. The evaluation of the competition was based on different aspects: Teamwork, Technique, Implementation, Creativity, and Use of Sound and Props. Each team went out all to give the audiences their best and their impressive performance received warm applause and cheers from the audience. The result of CICA Cheerleading Competition are shown as below:

Champion : Stanley Ho East Asia College (SHEAC)
1st Runner-Up : Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC)
2nd Runner-Up : Choi Kai Yau College (CKYC)
3rd Runner-Up: Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC)
4th Runner-Up: Cheong Kun Lun College (CKLC)

The cheerleading competition as the final event of the CICA Master’s Cup series competition, the CICA Master’s Cup awards ceremony was also conducted afterwards. Eventually, MLC won the 2nd Runner-Up, while CKLC won the 1st Runner-Up and SHEAC won the Championship.

	殷浩然 (Danny) 中國香港啦啦隊總會 永遠名譽會長 裁判 本人有幸出席是次澳大啦啦隊比賽活動，讓我加深了解澳大的發展及充滿活力和多姿多彩的校院生活。 各院校的啦啦隊健兒們通過各式各樣的舞蹈編排、齊心叫喊的口號、高低造型的疊羅漢、翻騰互動的動作以及配合得當的特技拋接等各種技術，各自編排出極具創意風格的及與衆不同的套路。從觀察這些套路演練過程中，亦使我充分感受到各隊伍運動員之間的相互信任、互動支持、以及以禮相待等行為，這正正是展現出各隊伍秉承著「仁、義、禮、知、信」的澳大校訓。 各運動隊伍中不分國籍、不分彼此、互相尊重、互相扶持，以團隊精神及創意理念完成了一套又一套具感染力的表演。這種無形的正能量產生以及協作精神將永遠伴隨著每一位參與者的心上。當大家完成學業走出校園後；當各位同學們準備投入灣區服務及貢獻國家的發展時，這種貯備已久的啦啦隊正能量將會發揮出超乎想像的力量！ 感謝各位同學們在啦啦隊訓練上付出的所有努力；亦感恩澳大各同事組織是次活動。讓我們一起努力推動「啦啦隊」文化，一起在未來建設一個更具正能量的大灣區！同學們加油！澳大加油！
	李穎婷 工商管理學院 /何鴻燊東亞書院 大三 對我而言這不僅僅是一場比賽，更是一個能夠點燃熱情、凝聚力量的舞台。各院隊在比賽中都展現了精彩的演出，再加上觀眾和各院隊之間的支持和歡呼助威，將比賽推向了最高點。這激勵了我們書院更加努力地對待比賽，最終獲得了冠軍。最後，希望透過這個比賽讓更多人認識到啦啦隊的魅力並參與其中，找到屬於自己的舞台！同時，也感謝主辦方和工作人員們的付出和努力，使比賽能順利進行。
	陳映君 CICA啦啦隊比賽統籌 社會科學學院/蔡繼有書院 大二 這次啦啦隊比賽戰況激烈，也出現了意想不到的結果，不過這也說明了啦啦隊比賽的水平越來越高，精彩程度一年比一年高。作為CICA比賽的重頭戲，今年吸引了眾多觀眾來觀看這精彩的賽事，觀眾的熱情也很高，歡呼聲一波接著一波，也透過書院的精彩比賽，看到了他們平時刻苦訓練的痕跡。希望CICA啦啦隊比賽越來越好！
