‘From 0 to 1’ UM ICI co-organizes Digifluidic’s new product launch

Co-organized by Digifluidic and the Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) of the University of Macau (UM), the new product launch of Digifluidic themed ‘From 0 to 1’ was held on July 20 in the Multi-Function Hall of UM Guest House (N1). At the event, the company’s latest generation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) machine – the ‘Virus Hunter Plus’ automatic nucleic acid analyzer was unveiled for the first time, demonstrating the continuous innovation and breakthrough of its scientific research outcomes.

Participating organizations include government units of Hengqing and Macau, well-known domestic institutions of higher education, hospitals, and medical technology companies. During the product launch event, activities such as the signing ceremony with strategic cooperation units, medical theme seminars, and corporate cooperation consultations were held, providing a high-quality communication platform for deepening the collaborative promotion of platforms for industry-academia collaborations.

Zhuhai Digifluidic Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a Macau-funded enterprise that is mainly cultivated in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. It was founded in Hengqin by Chen Tianlan and Dong Cheng, two doctoral graduates from the University of Macau in 2018, focusing on the research and development of automatic detection biotechnology, and it is also the first technology enterprise successfully incubated by the University of Macau through technology transfer. The automated nucleic acid analysis technology of its core product comes from the UM State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI and has been authorized by the UM to develop the “Virus Hunter” series of on-site rapid nucleic acid detection devices.

The latest generation of automatic nucleic acid analyzer released by Digifluidic – ‘Virus Hunter Plus’, has achieved a functional breakthrough based on previous research, which is smaller in size and easier to operate. It can complete a maximum of 32 detection targets in real-time without the need for professionals to operate in a special place, and the test report can be generated within 90-120 minutes, which greatly reduces the testing cost of time and manpower. In addition, it is foreseeable that the device will be widely used in four different industries including medical (in-vitro diagnostics/genetic analysis), agriculture (disease detection/genetic analysis), pet (pet pathogen detection), and food safety (authenticity and adulteration identification/pathogen detection).

由Digifluidic迪奇生物和協同創新研究院共同舉辦，主題為“從0到1”之迪奇生物全球招商暨新品發佈會於7月20日假澳門大學聚賢樓（N1）多功能廳舉行。在發佈會上首次公開了該公司最新一代的即時檢測（POCT）一體機 —“Virus Hunter Plus”全自動核酸分析儀，展示其不斷創新突破之科研成果。是次活動之與會機構包括琴澳政府單位、多間國內知名高等學府、醫院，以及醫療科技企業等。發佈會上更進行了戰略合作單位簽約儀式、醫療主題研討會及企業合作咨詢等活動，為深化產學研協同推廣提供了優質的交流平台。

珠海市迪奇孚瑞生物科技有限公司是橫琴粵澳深度合作區重點培育的澳資企業，於2018年由澳門大學兩名博士畢業生陳天藍和董鋮在橫琴創立，專注於自動檢測生物技術的研發，更是澳門大學首間通過技術轉移成功孵化的科技企業。其核心產品的自動化核酸分析技術，來源於澳門大學模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室，且獲澳大專利授權，研發出配合生物芯片使用的“Virus Hunter”系列之現場快速核酸檢測設備。

此次迪奇生物發佈的最新一代產品即時檢測一體機 —“Virus Hunter Plus”，在以往研發基礎上實現了功能性的突破。其體積更小、操作更簡便，在無須專業人員在專門場所操作的情況下便可即時完成32項聯合檢測，且檢測報告於90-120分鐘內便能生成，大大地降低了檢測時間及人力成本。除此之外，該設備將在：醫療（體外診斷／基因分析）、農業（病害檢測／基因分析）、寵物（寵物體檢），以及食安（真偽摻假鑑別／致病原檢測）四大不同產業的平台上得到廣泛的應用。

【Reminder】Recruitment of CIE Incubation Teams (Application Deadline: 2023/8/31)

  • Objective  

The UM is recruiting innovative entrepreneurial teams for intensive incubation at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. After the committee assessment, the Centre will provide the incubation teams with appropriate advice from entrepreneurial guidance at the initial stage to regular expert consultations. The Centre may also offer incubation teams with temporary office spaces, meeting rooms, and office facilities. The UM will actively assist the teams through the Centre in seeking every possible internal and external entrepreneurship funding, investment and assistance, including from fund institutions, companies or investors, applications for incubation and start-up funds from relevant incubation bases, recommendation and sponsorship in participating innovation and entrepreneurship competitions hosted by various regions. We expected their creative projects could be successfully converted into commercial products or services during the period of incubation.

  • Target

At least one member of a team must have a connection with the University of Macau. All current students, alumni, and current staff are eligible to apply. One team must also have at least one Macao permanent resident.

**Remarks: those who are determined to violate the rules of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are not eligible for incubation for two years.

  • Team Selection and Criteria

The selection of incubation teams will be conducted by the Incubation Team Selection Committee, which is composed of professionals outside and/or inside UM. Through the business proposal and interview, the Committee will examine and select the appropriate teams to incubate. The basic selection focuses on creativity, originality, and potential benefits to society in terms of business and culture. Cross-discipline and cross-faculty innovative ideas are encouraged for applications.

大學正招募銳意創業的團隊，通過委員會評估和審批，讓合乎標準的團隊入駐創新創業中心，為其提供適切的孵化指導，從前期的創業諮詢建議，到定期的專家輔導等；更可為團隊提供短暫的辦公室空間、會客室及配備辦公室設施。大學將透過創新創業中心，積極協助各入駐團隊爭取對接校內及校外各種可能的創業資源、投資和協助，當中包括基金機構、公司或投資人投資、相關孵化基地的入駐及起步資金申請、推薦及資助參與各地區主辦的創新創業比賽等。期望他們的創意項目可在入駐期內成功轉化成商業成品或服務。

  • 對象

團隊必須最少一人來自澳門大學，包括在讀學生，校友，教職員工均有資格申請；及必須最少一人為澳門永久性居民。

*備註:被確定違反創新創業中心規則者，兩年內不具獲入駐資格。

  • 入駐團隊遴選標準

遴選程序由校外專業人士與大學教師共同組成的孵化團隊遴選會議（簡稱遴選會 Incubation Team Selection Committee）完成，通過審查創新團隊完成的商業計劃書以及面試表現，重點觀察團隊的創造性、創意性，以及對社會、商業以及文化帶來哪些改變與提高。鼓勵團隊跨學科，跨學院開發創意，申請創新創業中心的資源。

「招商杯」創意創新創業大賽是由招商局集團主辦的年度系列三創大賽，核心是以招商局的產業資源為依托，尋找和培育以科技為核心的內外部創新產品與服務。立足點在於充分激發產業公司及員工創新動能，把產業公司及員工的創意創新產品及需求通過採用「創意—創新—創業」的全鏈條孵化模式進行打磨，並視情況引入外部優質創新項目進行合作，進而創造出更貼合產業需求和方向的創新產品與服務，提升創新成果轉化率。

第五屆「招商杯」大賽以「聚焦硬科技，發掘新動力」為主題，在做好「硬科技」主賽道的基礎上，還將圍繞招商局集團重點佈局的「綠色科技」、「生命科技」、「數字科技」三大領域舉辦「行業專賽」；對擁有前沿技術的科研院所，將協同招商局集團先進技術研究院舉辦「科研院校專賽」；針對招商局集團創新產業重點發展的區域舉辦「城市專賽」，通過進一步開放產業與技術資源，更好地推動產業公司與參賽隊伍實現雙贏。

硬科技主賽道：

賽道覆蓋光電芯片、人工智能、航空航天、生物技術、信息技術、新材料、新能源、智能製造等硬科技領域。

三大科技產業專項賽：

針對「綠色科技」、「生命科技」、「數字科技」等集團重點佈局的領域舉辦行業專賽。

科研院校專項賽：

面向前沿技術，邀請招商局先進技術研究院，與科研院所合作專項賽事。

城市專項賽：

針對招商局集團創新產業重點發展的區域（如：合肥／無錫／武漢／漳州等）舉辦城市專賽。

一等獎：25萬元／項目（2名）

二等獎：10萬元／項目（4名）

三等獎：5萬元／項目（6名）

優秀獎：1萬元／項目（10名）

  1. 具有創意點子、創新能力和高成長潛力，從事創新領域研發、製造、生產及服務等業務；
  2. 參賽項目經營規範、社會信譽良好、無不良記錄，且為非上市企業；
  3. 企業2022年營業收入不超過2億元人民幣；
  4. 參賽項目的創意、產品、技術及相關專利歸屬參賽團隊，與其他單位或個人無知識產權糾紛；
  5. 近三年獲得國家級創賽（如中國創新創業大賽、「創客中國」創新創業大賽、「中國創翼」創業創新大賽、全國農村創業創新項目創意大賽、中央企業熠星創新創意大賽、「創青春」中國青年創新創業大賽等）三等獎以上項目可選擇不參與項目初選路演，直接進入半決賽；
  6. 往屆大賽獲獎項目不參加本屆大賽。
