【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (8) – Pickleball (open for the 1st time)

體育事務部（OSA）本學期首次舉辦匹克球興趣班，旨在向師生及職員推動及提供接觸不同體育運動的機會，享受運動帶來的樂趣與益處。

兩班匹克球興趣班於3月29日起，各於每週六及週三下午上課，各5節課共31名師生參加。

是次興趣班邀請到中國澳門匹克球總會導師為參加師生教授匹克球的基本概念、打法、球例及禮儀等，並以培訓及實踐形式進行，讓參加師生都能落場練習、掌握匹克球的打法及樂趣，增加對該運動的了解及增強持續做運動的興趣。

Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organizes the “Pickleball Interest Course” for the 1st time this semester, aiming to promote and provide UM members with opportunities to experience different sports, enjoy the fun and benefits of it.

The Pickleball Interest Course started from 29 March, two classes each with 5 sessions held every Saturday and Wednesday afternoon respectively, and a total of 31 UM members participated.

We are delighted to invite instructors from the Macau China Pickleball General Association (MCPGA) to introduce the basic concepts, playing methods, regulations and etiquette of pickleball to the participants. The classes were conducted in the form of training and practicing, providing the opportunities to the participants to practice on the court, master the playing methods, increase their understanding of pickleball, and enhance their interest in continuing to exercise.

葛萬金 Kot Man Kam – 導師 Instructor

在大學舉辦匹克球興趣班的成效很好，年齡層更集中，學員大多都是新手，學習時可以正規方法教導他們打球技巧、規則及比賽上的節奏，比已經有經驗的人要改變作風相對容易。匹克球在體能方面、技術上較容易掌握、較容易吸引打乒乓球、羽毛球、網球的人來學習，因此希望大學將能組成及發展匹克球隊，以參與不同的比賽，有利於學生的身心及體能發展。

Pickleball interest course is held successfully, the age group in UM is more concentrated and most of the students are new to pickleball; hence, they can learn the playing skills, rules and competition technique in a formal way, which is relatively easier compare to those who already have experience. Pickleball is easier to master in terms of physical fitness and technique, and is more likely to attract people who play table tennis, badminton, and tennis to learn. Hope UM will soon form and develop its pickleball team, which will be beneficial to the students.

因為我每天做實驗的，現在每星期來上興趣班可以提高自己的能量。我很喜歡這個興趣班，特別是這個球類運動的興趣班，因為互動性很強，所以上完興趣班後心情都很開心愉快。

I work on experiments every day and taking this interest course every week helps boost my energy. I like this interest course very much, especially ball sports, because it is interactive, I feel very relaxed after the course.

【Sports Activities】: Sports Interest Course (4) – Touch Rugby (open for the 1st time)

體育事務部（OSA）本學期首次舉辦觸式欖球興趣班，旨在向師生及職員推動及提供接觸不同體育運動的機會，享受運動帶來的樂趣與益處。

觸式欖球興趣班於2月17日起每週一晚上課，10節課共25名師生參加。

是次興趣班邀請到澳門欖球會導師為參加師生介紹觸式欖球，教授接球、傳球及跑步等技巧，更透過不同的小遊戲及比賽讓參加者充分體驗，增加對觸式欖球運動的了解，增強持續做運動的興趣。

欖球是一項很好的運動，能將具有不同經驗、生活方式、思維過程、自我概念、自我認知和天賦的人聚集在一起，就像澳門大學一樣將不同的人聚集在一起，發展才能，提供積極的互動，擴展經驗，豐富他們的生活，使他們成為更好的人和公民。學生們都很喜歡觸式橄欖球，更希望參加更多的遊戲及比賽，這運動是一個全新的互動領域，可以擴展經驗並結識新朋友。

Rugby is a great sport to pull people together from diverse experiences, lifestyles, thinking processes, self-concepts, self-perceptions and talents, which is like UM that brings people in, develop talent, provide positive interaction, and expansion of experiences to enrich people’s life, to become a better person and citizen. The students enjoyed Touch Rugby and want more games, more competitions, it’s a whole new area of interaction, expanding experiences and meeting new people.

我覺得這個興趣班給我們帶來很大的收穫！因為可以從基礎開始去接觸這項運動，也可以認識到新的老師、新的同學，能夠學到很多新的東西，包括這項運動的規則、具體的技巧。而上課時間也很好，在晚上7點到8點半這個時間剛好是大家比較有空的時間，也不會太晚，運動結束後更可以吃個飯，好好休息一下。運動的強度也不會太高，適合所有沒有基礎的同學，我覺得這興趣班非常好，內容設計非常合理。

This interest course brings great benefits as we can get to know this sport from the basics, meet new teachers and classmates, and learn a lot of new things including the rules and specific techniques of Touch Rugby. The class schedule is very good as it starts from 7pm to 8:30pm in the evening, this time is just the time when most of us are free and after the course, we can still go for dinner and have a good rest. The intensity of this course is not too high, which is suitable for those without basic skills. In general, I think this interest course is very good and the content is reasonable.

 

Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organizes the “Touch Rugby Interest Course” for the 1st time this semester, aiming to promote and provide UM members with opportunities to experience different sports, enjoy the fun and benefits of it.

The Touch Rugby Interest Course is held on every Monday evening starting from 17 February, with a total of 25 UM members participating in 10 sessions.

We are delighted to invite the instructors from Macau Rugby Club to introduce touch rugby to the participants, taught about catching, passing and running techniques. Through different games, the participants were able to fully experience touch rugby, increased their understanding of this sport, and enhanced their interest in continuing to exercise.

匹克球 Pickleball

匹克球源自1965年，是結合了羽毛球、網球與乒乓球特色的一種球拍型運動。匹克球的球場如同羽毛球場的規格大小，球網約網球網的高度，使用宛如加大的乒乓球拍，球體是比網球稍大而帶有多個孔洞的中空塑膠球，打法近似網球的對戰方式，可落地擊球或直接在空中截擊。因為球的彈力較小、速度也較慢，球拍打擊面積也較大，因此讓人更容易上手，玩法和規則更是集羽毛球、網球、乒乓球於一身，沒有性別及年齡的限制。

Pickleball originated in 1965, is a paddle sport that combines the characteristics of badminton, tennis and table tennis. The pickleball court size is similar as a badminton court with a net that is about the height as a tennis net, while the paddle is like an enlarged table tennis paddle, and the ball is a hollow plastic ball that is slightly larger than a tennis ball with multiple holes on it. The playing method is similar to that of tennis and because the ball has less elasticity, slower speed, and the paddle has a larger hitting area, it is easier for people to get started. The gameplay and rules combine badminton, tennis, and table tennis, with no gender or age restrictions.

3. 申請結果Application Result

申請結果將於2025年3月3日（星期一），以電郵通知中籤者
Application results will be announced via email on 3 MAR 2025 (MON).

請中籤者於郵件中公告的限期前，按照指示，在澳大綜合體育館（N8）的開放時間內前往正門服務台支付相關費用/押金。如果未能按時支付，其名額將分配給候補名單上的其他申請者。
For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

候補名單 Waiting list
未中籤者將按照結果排序。如果有名額釋放，將根據中籤的排序，以電郵通知候補人員及須於指定的限期前支付相關費用。
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent out according to the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

備註Notes:

  • 僅在繳付完相關費用後，才視為申請已獲確認。Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.
  • 為更好地善用有限的資源，一旦申請已獲確認，請按時出席相關的課程。For better use of resources, kindly attend all registered classes on schedule once enrolment is confirmed.
  • 課程是否成功開班將取決於參與的人數。如未能成功開班，已交的費用將會退回。The confirmation of a class is dependent on the number of participants. If a class is cancelled, the fee will be refunded accordingly.
  • 一般情況下，費用一經收取後恕不退還。The registration fee is not refundable after payment under any circumstances in general.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macao SAR, University of Macau, The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association and China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Ltd. are organizing The 4th University of Macau-The Macau Chinese Enterprises Association-China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Ltd. “National Day Cup” Basketball Invitational Tournament on 28-29 Sep and 5-6 Oct at UM Sports Complex (N8). There will be 15 teams and over 100 players participating in the Tournament, you are all welcome to come watch and support UM Basketball Team. UM Student can earn PE Hours if attend the opening ceremony and match on 28 Sep, third place and finals on 6 Oct.

Remarks:
